About us

As the main artery of the Ames-Des Moines Cultivation Corridor, Johnston’s robust biotech economy features the Global Research Center for Corteva Agriscience and an array of finance industry heavyweights, including John Deere Financial, DLL, Shazam, and the Iowa Bankers Association. A host of workforce talent lies within the rapidly growing community of 24,000+, collectively forming one of the state's highest-educated and highest-income-earning communities. Johnston’s state-of-the-art high school, constructed in 2017, is just a part of a Johnston School District that is consistently rated among the top in the state. Additionally, the innovative Terra Lake and interconnected bike trail systems provide a stellar quality of life for active employees looking for a place to call home. Johnston’s flexible and aggressive incentive policy continues to attract new investment and talent to existing business parks and the Town Center and Gateway District.
