The Ankeny Special Census has officially begun! 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐚 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬! Ankeny residents will receive a letter from the U.S. Census Bureau with a return address in Jefferson, IN. Your letter will have a unique 12-digit code and instructions on how to complete the census form online. Your participation is essential. An updated population count could help the City qualify for an additional $5 million in Road Use Tax revenues for the City over the next 6 years. This funding would go toward snow removal, street maintenance and infrastructure improvements. Even if you participated in the 2020 national census, you still need to complete the form this year to be counted for Ankeny. Residents who do not respond to the online survey will be visited by a Census Bureau interviewer between Aug. 29 and Oct. 21 to complete the questionnaire. Avoid the knock and fill out your special census online. We need everyone counted - and we’re counting on you! Learn more at www.ankenyiowa.gov/census now. Thank you!
