Really enjoyed learning more about how hydrogen-electric engines might someday power planes from University of Houston professor Kaushik Rajashekara. For my Chron.com story, we talked about AA's partnership with ZeroAvia and others working toward zero-emission aircraft.

There’s always the guy in the locker room who is known as the “bad interview.” But that’s only because you don’t know what to talk to him about. For the Astros, that’s first baseman Jon Singleton. I found a way to crack his shell for Chron.com https://lnkd.in/gZ9U6tZX

Despite housing affordability becoming more challenging nationwide, Harris County's median home prices remain below the national median. Harris County's median home price is $46,226 less than the national median of $360,000 for a single-family home, according to a new study by ATTOM. In Harris County, the median price for a single-family home is $313,774, as mortgage rates continue to be elevated around 7.568 percent for a 30-year-fixed loan, making it more expensive than ever to make the jump into homeownership. EVs—specifically Teslas—are showing quality issues all around A quality study from automotive research firm J.D. Power found that car owners are annoyed with incidents such as false warnings from their vehicle's tech systems and disappointed with controls and displays that get even simple functions wrong. Across the study's categories (infotainment, driving assistance, powertrain, driving experience, and more), researchers specifically called out EVs for their problem-riddled systems. “Owners of cutting edge, tech-filled battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are experiencing problems that are of a severity level high enough for them to take their new vehicle into the dealership at a rate three times higher than that of gas-powered vehicle owners,” said Frank Hanley, senior director of auto benchmarking at J.D. Power. J.D. Power's take goes against the usual perspective on EVs, which is that they require fewer repairs since they don't have as many parts and systems as gas-powered vehicles.
