#FoundationFriday Our US Navy couldn’t operate around the world if it wasn’t for our partners at Military Sealift Command. These teammates ensure that our Sailors and ships are supplied and ready for the fight.
This week’s Military Sealift Command “Ship in the Spotlight” is USNS John Lenthall (T-AO 189). The fleet replenishment oiler is operating with ships in the USS George Washington (CVN 73) Carrier Strike Group providing logistics support to US Navy and partners nations as part of Southern Seas 2024. Southern Seas 2024 seeks to enhance capability, improve interoperability, and strengthen maritime partnerships with countries throughout the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility through joint, multinational, and interagency exchanges and cooperation.💪🛳⚓ #MSCDelivers #WeAreMSC #UnitedWeSail #TogetherWeDeliver

Join me as we celebrate Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)’s 50th anniversary. They are the force behind America’s Warfighting Navy forward presence, allowing us to preserve the peace, respond in crisis, and win decisively in war, if called to do so.
🎊⚓️Hooray! The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Turns 50 Today! NAVSEA, the largest of the Navy’s six systems commands responsible for the building, buying, maintaining, and inactivation of ships, submarines and systems, celebrates its 50th anniversary, July 1. Created on July 1, 1974 from the merging of the former Naval Ship Systems Command and the Naval Ordnance Systems Command, and with shipbuilding origins dating back more than two centuries, NAVSEA has maintained its commitment to supporting the public and the US Navy’s Fleet. Follow us as we celebrate our command’s rich history with commemorative posts and inside peeks into the celebrations with “The Force Behind The Fleet.” For more information, read more about NAVSEA’s 50th Anniversary here: https://lnkd.in/eyJsDJAf #NAVSEA50 #NAVSEA #TheForceBehindTheFleet
