TPI Net Zero Assessment Banking Project selected for Environmental Finance award We are delighted to announce that the TPI Centre’s Net Zero Banking Assessment Framework has been selected as the ESG Tool of the Year in the 2024 Sustainable Investment Awards. These global awards seek to recognise asset managers, analysts and data providers incorporating ESG across all asset classes. The Net Zero Banking Assessment Framework is a comprehensive, open-source set of indicators and data that can be used to evaluate banks’ progress in managing the low-carbon transition and mitigating the impacts of climate change. It is complemented by a Carbon Performance Alignment Matrix, assessing the alignment of banks sectoral decarbonisation targets. The framework https://lnkd.in/e7xZz7Pt was developed in collaboration with Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) and Ceres, Inc. and complements IIGCC’s Net Zero Standard for Banks https://lnkd.in/eYhhT5jQ as well as @Ceres’ Net Zero Standard for North American Banks https://lnkd.in/eV35sHfV In response to the award announcement Valentin Jahn, Principal Research Project Manager at the TPI Centre, said: “We are honoured that our work in the banking sector has been recognised with the Environmental Finance Sustainable Investment Award 2024 for ESG Tool of the Year in the risk and reporting category. This recognition underscores our commitment to providing useful, accurate and reliable insights investors can use to drive sustainable finance and helping the banking sector align with net-zero goals.
