Excited to share our recent publication in JAMA, highlighting the increased presence of high-needs patients in traditional Medicare. Our study uncovers a significant rise from 6.4% in 2014 to 10.7% in 2021, underscoring the vital necessity for sustainable, value-based initiatives. Addressing the needs of this vulnerable group, especially in underserved urban and rural areas, is crucial to prevent unsustainable costs and ensure better health outcomes for our nation's seniors.
