It was dirtiest car we ever had. The top of the car on the inside, which was initially white, had black patches. Seats were dirty all across, like it was a car used by construction workers. Also smelt sweat, we had to keep it open to partially get rid of suffocating sweat smell. In terms of price, we were taxed 40 usd more for a mini convertible car versus an SUV Ford Puma neat and clean, rented by our friends.

The price advertised is not the real price when you get there. Every where we travel we can use either our insurance policies or our credit cards insurance benefits. Here they charged us way more money because they denied to accept our insurance. We got the car anyway cause we arrived at the airport at 3:00 in the morning and we’ve been told that it’s dangerous in Ecuador to get cabs.

I wasn’t able to rent a vehicle, so now I’ll need to go through the process of trying to get a refund from Kayak. The rental car desk said that I didn't have the proper documentation to be able to rent the car that I reserved and prepaid for. Hertz didn’t have a problem renting to me.

Worst rental car experience. Seems like they are looking to scam for any dent or scratch. I didn’t hit anything and they found a small dent in wheel area what was probably there before. I couldn’t even see it. The car already had scratches and other things from before. They are here to scam you would never used again.

Waited 40 minutes for a shuttle on arrival. Tried calling the office multiple times to let them know but no answer. When I returned the car, the shuttle drove straight out of the gate without stoop to pick me up to take me to the airport. Took 45 minutes to return and I almost missed my flight.

Wouldn’t use it again. We hired a van and from our initial inspection the van 1. Wasn’t ready in time 2. had a lot more scratches than on their report which we recorded 3. Had a broken piece of wood in the back which was not noted down. Poor.

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

30min wait to talk with someone about pickup. Customer service representatives were obviously very stressed and confrontational. I was given a 30min estimate with disdain after asking. We had booked a 7 seater for a certain price and when we arrived they added on 150% in cost on all kinds of fees. We also booked a 7 seater and they only had a 5 seater which made the week very uncomfortable with bags on laps and they didn't offer any help.

They just want to make extra money wherever they can from customers by charging for late drop off though when we picked up car we asked about return time. Very unprofessional. Never rent another vehicle from there and we told same thing to friends and family too.

Due to Westjet airline strike I never actually got to use my rental. I was able to cancel my rental the morning off without penalty or cost and that was awesome since we already had the disappointment of missing out on our trip. I would definitely try to rent with Ace again though based on this customer service.

There is no such thing as having an "appointment" to pick up a car. I showed up at my appointment time and had to wait for an hour because they didn't have any Cars. Additionally, I called corporate customer service to request to pick up the car earlier than my scheduled time to which two separate people on 2 different days confirmed, only to be told by a 3rd person on the Day of pick up that changing appointment times was against company policy. The phone number listed on the business website was sent to an automated Verizon message without a voicemail.

Terrible!!! what started out as a $431.00 rental turned into a $809. charge on my credit card. They charge me for roadside assistance that I neither needed nor was asked if I did, I have full CAA coverage. Becareful of what you initial!! I was also charge a $250. for extra dirt. seems like they smelled smoke, although I do not smoke. I complained to head office with no success. Very bad business practice very disappointing!!!

Hi, I’m somewhat fed up with searching prices via the website and realising time and time again that the headline price has no relevance to the final price charged. Extra charges such as additional drivers, airport pick up surcharges were never mentioned either on the website or at the europcar desk . Additional charges appeared on my credit card several days after dropping the car that were not verbalised or highlighted prior to rental - seems somewhat unfair! Surely this should be more regulated!? The car itself was fine , although didn’t appreciate multiple attempts by the desk sales to upgrade the vehicle at the pick up point , feels like a lot of effort goes into up selling.

Car was very comfortable, clean , more than enough power, pick up was sooo easy, drop off a little disappointing as there were no persons on the counter and we really wanted to know about the deposit return. In the end we had to drop the key and run for our boarding, but was sorted very easy next day by phone call.

They tried to be nice but at the end what they offered did not meet our expectations, we couldn't fit the 5 people we needed and manifested to them initially, the car was too small and was not an SUV . Also the online price went from 150 EUR to 350 EUR for a car for 5 people. They couldn't find the kayak reservation we made online and did not respect the reservation price.

Took too long for pickup. Tried to upsell for everything! Barely spoke English! Wanted proof of insurance and wanted to charge $45 a day for their insurance even though I was already insured. Finally left without a car and went to Alamo and had great service! In the hours I was at surprise car rental not one customer was happy with the service or the car they rented! I will never use this company again and strongly recommend others do not! I will be getting a refund!

Impossible to locate their number or to know where the pickup point will be. This was a problem of KAYAK though, as no such info was anywhere in the voucher. Took us 90min since the time we got out of the airport until we finally got the car. The car was fine, an SUV (MG ZS) instead of an estate we had booked. Although this was an upgrade, we didn't get the length of space we needed (we were carrying skis). They didn't have another car available, not even at a higher price. The car wasn't washed, and although the rental agreement was full-to-full we got the car so empty that even the km left had dashes flashing. The staff were very polite though, and the queue was medium (15min wait)
