A big recycling effort has been going on in Dublin for many years now and it has outsized implications for hiking up the cost of new housing in the capital and also in other cities all over Ireland.

Throughout Dublin, developers are busy demolishing filling stations, pubs, older office buildings and even more modern commercial buildings to make way for apartment blocks or, in the suburbs, pocket schemes of high-density larger houses.
