Early notice of RFP opportunity: technical assistance services to support Ethiopia’s immunisation programme

Gavi seeks to recruit technical assistance (TA) partner(s) to provide support to the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) to plan, design, execute and monitor strategies in the following investment areas:  

  • Supply chain: this TA aims to achieve the objective of increasing capacity and quality of vaccine storage and distribution to improve vaccine availability, especially in the last mile.
  • Health information systems, and monitoring and learning: this TA aims to achieve the objectives of: (i) improving data use-related capacity, tools, evidence-generation and/or systems for programme monitoring and learning, especially at subnational level; and (ii) strengthening information systems relevant to identifying and reaching zero-dose and under-immunised children.
  • Demand-generation and community engagement: this TA aims to achieve the objective of addressing gender considerations in the planning and implementation of immunisation services.
  • Governance, policy, strategic planning and programme management: this TA aims to achieve the objective of strengthening capacity of governance/technical bodies for planning, coordination and tracking progress at all levels, particularly for reaching zero-dose children.

The Global Fund and Gavi joint initiative to expand the Evaluation Supplier Pool

The Global Fund and Gavi are embarking on a joint initiative, with GFF collaboration, through this request for information (RFI), to identify qualified evaluation service providers based or headquartered in eligible countries in which the Global Fund, Gavi and GFF work, and to address the barriers to working with these organizations on future evaluations.

Independent Review Committee (IRC) Members

Gavi is seeking reviewers with expertise in routine immunization programs, including experts in measles and rubella, HPV, meningococcal conjugate vaccine, Japanese encephalitis, and Hepatitis B birth dose vaccines, and candidates with strong field epidemiology backgrounds who are versant in long-term, multi-sectoral approaches to typhoid and cholera prevention and control, as well as preventive Ebola vaccination and the human rabies vaccine for post-exposure prophylaxis. Gavi is also seeking reviewers with financial management expertise. Ideal candidates have programmatic experience working in Gavi-eligible countries; expertise working in fragile and emergency settings is particularly helpful.

Gavi is seeking service providers in Information Technology (IT) services to partner with the Knowledge Management & Technology Solutions department (“KTMS”) and provide resources to Gavi to achieve its IT investment and Operational objectives.

Gavi Liaison Officer, High Impact, Nigeria

Gavi Liaison Officers play an important role in Gavi's mission to ensure that children in the world’s poorest countries are vaccinated against deadly diseases such as hepatitis B, diarrhoeal disease, pneumococcal disease, measles, meningitis A, and cervical cancer. They help to ensure countries deploy Gavi supported vaccines, direct financial support, and technical support effectively and transparently. Liaison Officers support the Senior Country Manager (SCM) and Programme Manager (PM) to assess and manage risks and they monitor the performance of Gavi-funded programmes. This consultancy position will be within the High Impact team and will be dedicated to support Nigeria, be based within Nigeria, and will advance Gavi engagement with the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGoN) and States around zero dose programme and other priorities.
