Moscow river, Russia

Lot on the Colorado River off the Potash Road near the petroglyphs.

One salvageable shot from yesterday, this is a long exposure of the River Plym just down from Cadover Bridge on Dartmoor. There was a lot of harsh sunlight but this shot wasn't too bad as the water was mostly in shadow. The sunlight did give the vibrant green moss that extra glow which looks nice I think.

Looking down at the river, the hiking trail and the colorful gorge from the top of Cut River Bridge. The gorge is well adapted to growth of mature sugar maple specimens.

The foliage change in UP Michigan was very localized, the leaves were changing in this area with predominantly yellow and some orange colors.

As we moved west there were patches of peak fall foliage here and there, mostly along the single lane road which offered no place to stop.

For the most part the leaves were mostly green during our brief visit, many tourists blaming the delay on global warming.

I appreciate your visit, fave and comment!

The municipality is named after the town of Mandal, which in turn is named after the Mandalen river valley in which it is located.

The name Mandal which comes from the Old Norse name Marnardalr.

The first element is the genitive case of the river name Mǫrn (now Mandalselva) and the last element is dalr which means "valley" or "dale".

Il Canale Villoresi ha origine dalla diga di Pan Perduto sul fiume Ticino; lungo 86 km è il secondo canale artificiale più lungo d'Italia, si immette poi nel fiume Adda.

Thank you all for your comments and faves.

It was a beautiful day along this lazy spot on the Gibbon River. This was my first trip to Yellowstone. It is such an immense and diverse park. I came away with a great feeling of reverence and respect for our earth.

The valley of Coladoir Rivers is of breathtaking beauty.

Das Tal des Coladoir Rivers ist von atemberaubender Schönheit.

Dalen af Coladoir Rivers er betagende skønhed.

rom the bridge which crosses the River Coladoir, you have a fantastic view of Ben More, the highest mountain in the island of Mull.

Von der Brücke, welche den Coladoir River überquert, hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf Ben More, dem höchsten Berg der Insel Mull.

I couldn't frame quite the way I wanted with the 80-200, so went vertical and took seven handheld (and generously overlapped) exposures across the horizon. Photoshop stitched them without much help from me.

I don't think I have any other stitched photos on Flickr, though I use the technique occasionally for making high resolution copies of panoramic prints down at job number two.

A capture along the pretty river there in Ohiopyle State Park. Nice with the fog and Fall colors starting there.

A 350 mile journey begins with one step.

Saturday night William McIntosh and I made some plans to head up to Julia Pfeiffer State Beach to photograph Keyhole Arch during the winter solstice. During the winter solstice the sun lines up through the arch and has produced some magical captures and is a popular destination for many photographers. The following morning Bill called at 7:30am and said that the weather had turned up north and we decided to head the other direction towards the southwest, After spending a half hour looking at the radar and Skyfire we decided to head to a spot 6 hours away just past Phoenix Arizona to the Salt River Bend.

As we traveled, the weather started clearing more and more and by the time we got on location the clouds almost cleared out of the sky completely but luckily as the sun dipped to the horizon we did catch some last minute color in the sky.

This is an 8 image panorama stitched together in Lightroom and in an effort of full disclosure, was unhappy with the size of the moon when shooting at 11mm so I had the presence of mind to grab the longest lens in my bag at the time, a 24-105mm and snapped a second shot of the moon and replaced the tiny moon in the original composition with the one shot with the longer lens. I know some people object to this but I'm trying to sell prints here people. LOL :)

The weir and old railway bridge on the River Wharfe at Tadcaster.

Tadcaster is a market town in North Yorkshire, England. It is approximately, 12 miles (19 km) north-east of Leeds, and 10 miles (16 km) south-west of York. Historically part of the old West Riding

It is the last town the River Wharfe passes through before it joins the River Ouse about 10 miles (16 km) downstream.
