After spending the last 6 days shooting nightscapes with Wayne Pinkston we managed to get to Mono Lake to shoot a few panoramas. We had to find a location far away from the south tufas because being a new moon and on a saturday night the main area was a zoo, kids running around with flashlights photographers stumbling around in every direction. It was kinda like drunk disneyland, Hehe.

Mono Lake, California 2019

A long exposition, with a big stopper filter, can produce something little different at the Mono Lake, in California.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated

Late evening view after the sun set at Lake Mono in California. Took this capture well after all the other photographers (saw about 5 here) left. The lighting was great and the moon there in the sky was a nice added bonus drawing my attention.

Monochrome perspective study of a boldly ploughed agricultural field leading to misty woodland on the horizon.

At the risk of overdoing the waterfall thing, I thought I'd post this one of Edith Falls. The rock at the base is usually the star of the show, but the waterflow was hard to ignore this day.

A black and white, long exposure. portrait of the Green Bridge of Wales,

The Pembrokeshire coastline has some fabulous features in its limestone cliffs. This is a mono conversion of an 8 minute exposure, taken in pretty blustery conditions, with the wind blowing away from the camera. I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, with the wind buffeting the tripod throughout the shot. I had visions of the kit tumbling over into oblivion as I held on to the shutter release cable, for what seemed like an eternity.
