Ein Vater spaziert mit seiner Tochter und dem Hund am Main entlang. Die Tochter lernt mit ihrem Laufrad das Zweiradfahren.
Do you look forward to those family dinners on major holidays? Or, would you rather attend a demolition derby? Sometimes there isn't a difference.

What's going on in Texas right now is very, very bad. I think that what made it all possible is the easy manipulation of Christians. You can promise them anything and you can do whatever you want. People will eventually catch on and the current slow decline of Christianity will pick up speed. There will be fewer and fewer people to defend them.
From a Saturday afternoon walk with a little sun in the Vestre Plantage near Holstebro, Denmark - November 07, 2020.
As we were returning from a walk around a marsh we met a man also returning to his car with 3 young kids equipped with binoculars and cameras. We stopped and talked awhile and he told us they had seen a Cinnamon Teal on their way into the marsh. We followed him out and when he stopped to show us the spot he climbed up on his car complete with scope. I have climbed up on a lot of different things to get a better look but never on top of my car. Not sure I could! The 2 oldest kids were very involved in the birding and seemed to be enjoying the outing with Dad. Not sure about the little one who at this point stayed in the car. It was a long walk around the marsh and he may have just been tired.
The male Great Blue Herons were hard at it yesterday bringing sticks to their mates for nest building. Occasionally there would be a stick that didn't quite make the grade and it would be greeted with much squawky complaining from the female. Their rookery is located on a couple of islands in the middle of the Mississippi River not far from downtown Minneapolis. Quite a sight. Life goes on.

Christmas in the early 90's in living room of the house I grew up in. This view was taken in the large living room/ dining room and a portion of the stone fireplace can be seen at the left. The christmas tree, that we've had since I was a baby, is "topped" by a foil star that my mother had as a child.
A canada goose family with a smaller interloper who had got itself mixed up. The family made short of telling where to go - but happy ending in next pic.
Sidmouth lies on the Jurassic Coast and the coastline is dominated by the vivid red sandstone cliff which date back to the Triassic period. Along the front is the Millennium Walkway which stretches the length of the beach, which is made of pebbles, providing the perfect background for an afternoon stroll. Sidmouth Beach is a perfect family friendly beach, ideal for safe swimming and rock pooling at low tide with great on site facilities.

“A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss… That’s the trade-off. But I’ll take it all.”
Since we can't go visit family during the holidays this year due to the whole global pandemic thing, Jean (my wife, the curly haired gal on the left) suggested that we do a family portrait so the rest of the family doesn't forget what we look like. So we did a casual portrait in the back yard last weekend. This shot was taken with a wireless remote and he camera on a tripod. To get Jasper to look at the camera, I set a treat on top of the camera. But I also put his Oddball off to the side of the camera. Interestingly Jasper kept staring at the Oddball rather than the treat. Oh well, he's looking in the general direction of the camera anyway. He didn't even request a treat after the picture was taken. He just wanted to play! And play we did
