There’s an active recall on approximately 580,000 glass coffee mugs sold on Amazon, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This is due to a burn and laceration hazard after multiple shopper complaints.

The product affected is the JoyJolt Drinkware Declan Single-Wall Glass Coffee Mugs. These 16-ounce mugs were sold in a set of six on Amazon and the company website from September 2019 through May 2022 for between $20 and $25. A model number of JG10242 is printed on the recalled set’s packaging.

This recall was announced after 103 consumer incidents were reported of the glasses breaking at the base when the mug is filled with hot liquid. This has caused 56 reported injuries including 35 burns across the body from spilled hot liquids and 21 cuts. Seven incidents required medical attention.

If you have the recalled glass mugs on hand, contact the company for a full refund. You can call toll-free at 888-569-5680 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, email at recall@joyjolt.com or visit the recall website.
