Advance Together: Our Program

Our program

Advance Together is a grant and technical-assistance opportunity that supports regional cross-sector partnerships working to improve education and employment outcomes for lower-income communities. It provides flexible funding through philanthropic partners, customized training and a peer learning network to help grantees strengthen their partnerships and increase their impact.

Core principles

We help participants grow in key areas that drive collaborative success and advance economic inclusion:

  • Collaborative leadership
    • Bringing sectors together to lead change.
    • Building the capacity of partnerships to achieve shared, long-term goals.
  • Systems-level approaches to community change
    • Moving beyond program-level tactics to address barriers to economic mobility.
    • Reducing institutional siloes in regional workforce and education ecosystems.
  • Authentic community engagement
    • Including populations affected by community challenges and economic disparities as partners in shaping solutions.
  • Learning orientation and data-driven decision-making
    • Continuous improvement toward shared outcomes.
    • Using impact metrics and data on populations served to drive strategy.

Participant selection

The application period for the second round (2025–28) of Advance Together will open in September 2024. The independent selection subcommittee of the steering committee reviews applications and selects grantees. Announcements of selected grantees will be made by December 2024, with the second round kicking off in January 2025. Stay tuned for more details and guidance.

The Dallas Fed does not fundraise, provide grants or participate in the selection of grantees.
