Thanks for joining us!

So the semi-final line-up is decided then.

The Netherlands booked their place in the last four with a dramatic come from behind victory over Turkey.

As Ronald Koeman and Virgil van Dijk's comments suggest, attentions have already turned to the semi-final against England.

Both England and the Netherlands have been on the brink of elimination at Euro 2024 but have found their way through to the last four.

Another tense match looks a certainty on Wednesday in Dortmund.

Thanks for following along with tonight's quarter-final match, it has been a pleasure to take you through the clash in Berlin.

Goodnight!

Koeman: 'England have good players but so do we'

The Netherlands' manager Ronald Koeman has given his initial thoughts on facing England in the Euro 2024 semi-finals.

England have good players but so do we.
We are in the semi-finals of the European Championship – nobody expected that.
If all goes well, we will play two more games.

Van Dijk: 'We have to prepare for another tough match'

Some reaction from the Dutch camp to their quarter-final win from captain Virgil van Dijk.

You see how everyone reacts and works together,' Van Dijk told UEFA. We did everything we could, with tackles and saves.
Now it's time to recover and prepare for another tough match [with England].

A look back to tonight's action now.

England and Netherlands a 'proper game'

Former England defender Gary Neville on ITV on the Three Lions semi-final with the Netherlands

It's a proper game. It could have happened, obviously, in the second round, couldn't it? We got end up with Slovakia, but you're always going to face the best teams at some point in the competition.
I think England's route so far has been pretty favorable. This is a step up, obviously, on Wednesday, but you'd expect that in a semi final, it's going to be a fantastic match, obviously, in the Dortmund stadium.
Memories of 96, yes, the last time, I think we played the Dutch in a major tournament. It was one of England's most well memorable performances. It was a tactical match to master class from Terry Venables, and obviously Gareth was there as well.

NETHERLANDS PLAYER RATINGS: Which 'clumsy but decisive' star is a threat to England?

Mail Sport's Tom Collomosse has offered his ratings from the final Euro 2024 quarter-final.

He picks out one 'clumsy' Dutch star would could trouble England in the semi-final next week, as well as a potential weak link.

Do you agree with his ratings?

A rare Dutch fightback at the Euros

The Netherlands have won a match at the Eurpoean Championships having trailed at half-time for the first time since 2000.

The last time was a 3-2 win over France in the group phase 24 years ago.

This one was far more significant...

The semi-final line-up is set

Here we are then. The line-up for the Euro 2024 semi-finals is complete.

Spain and France will meet in Munich on Tuesday.

It will then be the turn of England and the Netherlands in Dortmund on Wednesday.

Who are you backing to lift the trophy?

UEFA confirm Dutch winner is an own goal

UEFA have confirmed Turkey defender Mert Muldur has been credited with an own goal for ther Netherlands' winner.

It was unclear whether Muldur or Gakpo got the final touch.

Had Gakpo been awarded the goal he would have gone clear in the race for the golden boot.

Not sure he will mind tonight though.

The unofficial golden boot leader own goal adds another to the tally. That's the 11th own goal of the tournament.

Dutch delight and Turkish tears

The contrast in emotions could not be clear in Berlin.

Ronald Koeman has a beaming smile as he celebrates leading his nation into the last four at Euro 2024.

Turkey captain Hakan Calhanoglu is among those in tears as their tournament came to an end.

The Turkish team, led by coach Vincenzo Montella, have done a lap of honour in front of their supporters.

Turkey have been a superb watch at this tournament.

WATCH: How the Netherlands turned the quarter-final around

The Netherlands had looked be heading out of Euro 2024 with around 20 minutes to play.

Then De Vrij headed the Dutch back on level terms following a well worked corner.

The turnaround was completed six minutes later, with Muldur bundling into his own net under pressure from Cody Gakpo.

Here are the two goals that have taken the Netherlands into the last four.

Dutch celebrations in full swing in Berlin

The Dutch celebrations are fully underway on the pitch.

Their team have joined up in huddle and celebrating with their supporters at the Olympiastadion.

What a stop from Verbruggen!

The Dutch goalkeeper gets down low and sticks out a hand to keep out Semih Kilicsoy.

Kilicsoy did not know much about it, but the ball stuck his shins and went goalwards.

It required an excellent reaction stop from Verbruggen to preserve the Netherlands' lead.

Netherlands 2-1 Turkey

Did I say Turkey had looked like they had run out of steam? Two great chances for Turkey to level.

Zeki Celik looks poised to equalise at the back post after a low cross.

The substitute's effort is superbly blocked from a Dutch defender. That was a certain goal had it not been blocked.

Van de Ven is the man to come to the Netherlands' rescue.

The follow-up effort is also blocked.

20:42, 82'

Netherlands 2-1 Turkey

A delay as Akaydin suffers an injury in a challenge with Van de Ven. A moment for both sides to catch their breath.

Turkey really look to have run out of steam here. Those goals look to have knocked the stuffing out of them.

Akaydin has been forced off with ex-Everton man Cenk Tosun coming on.

A striker for a defender, with Akaydin stretchered off. Zeki Celik has replaced Muldur, who unfortunately looks to have scored the second Dutch goal.

20:40, 81'

Netherlands 2-1 Turkey

That second Dutch goal had followed a couple of substitutions.

Micky van de Ven and Joey Veerman are on the Dutch in place of Ake and Reijnders.

Turkey have responded to the goal with Salih Ozcan and Kenan Yildiz making way for Okay Yokuslu and Kerem Akturkoglu.

20:34, 75'

GOAL: Netherlands 2-1 Turkey (Muldur own goal)

Total turnaround!

Turkey have been hanging on in the minutes after that goal, but not now.

The Dutch have pushed on since their leveller and go ahead with a low cross to the back post finding Cody Gakpo.

Gakpo and Turkey defender Muldur both go for the ball and it bundles into the net. It looks like an own goal.

The scuffiest goal you can imagine, but the Dutch will not care.

They are 15 minutes away from a semi-final with England.

GOAL: Netherlands 1-1 Turkey (De Vrij)

And the Dutch are level from that corner!

Turkey go to sleep from the set piece and are ruthlessly punished.

Depay takes the corner short receives the return pass. His cross is then headed in by defender Stefan De Vrij, who was totally unmarked.

It is all square in Berlin!

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

Weghorst has to do better.

He scuffs a chance at the back post from a cross when unmarked.

He does win a corner though...

20:27, 68'

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

This quarter-final feels on a knife edge with the Dutch having improved after half-time, while Turkey are still fashioning chances on the break and from set pieces.

20:26, 65'

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

Turkey appeal for a penalty, the Dutch celebrate a fantastic challenge.

Different perspectives.

It is a superb bit of defending from Wout Weghorst of all people, who sticks out a leg to clear the ball to safety with Turkey looking poised to double their lead.

The ball had bounced back into the danger area after Verbruggen pushed out a shot from Yildiz from the edge of the box.

Looks a good save too as it appeared to take a deflection on the way through.

20:22, 62'

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

Yilmaz has been superb for Turkey.

He has made himself a real nuisance for the Dutch defence and has got another one booked.

Virgil van Dijk is shown a yellow card for taking out Yilmaz as he looked to burst away down the wing.

20:16

Guler strikes the post!

What an effort from Guler from a Turkey free kick.

The teenager sets his sights from at least 30 yards out and bends one towards the bottom corner.

It is a wicked, curling effort that comes back off the upright. Verbruggen might have got a hand to that too. A good save if he did.

The free kick came about after a foul from Nathan Ake, who had hauled down Yilmaz.

Ake was lucky that Stefan De Vrij was close by or that could have been much worse.

The Man City defender is winning his 50th cap for the Netherlands tonight incidentally.

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

Total football this is not, but it is looking more effectively.

Another cross in for Weghorst to attack. He complains when a goal kick is given as the ball goes behind.

He is right to as well. That took a nick off a Turkey defender.

20:11, 50'

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

Ronald Koeman's half-time switch nearly makes the difference.

Nathan Ake curls a ball into the Turkey area aimed at Weghorst, with the giant forward heading dangerously across the face of goal.

Depay is unable to get onto the end of it as Turkey smuggle the ball clear.

Weghorst puts his hands to his head. It would not have counted though, with the flag going up for offside.

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

An early opportunity to get the big man involved at the Netherlands win their first corner.

Memphis Depay's deep cross finds Nathan Ake, who cannot pick out a team-mate with a header back across goal.

Depay looks to have dropped back to a No 10 role in support of Weghorst, with Simons moving out to the right where Bergwijn had been operating.

20:04, 46'

SECOND HALF: Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

A change at half-time for the Netherlands.

Ronald Koeman has turned to Wout Weghorst to get his side back into this quarter-final.

The former Man United forward is on for Steven Bergwijn at half-time.

19:59

Turkish delight in Berlin

Mail Sport's Matt Barlow at the Olympiastadion Berlin:

Turkey found a rhythm and began to dominate from midway through the first half.

Each attack was accompanied by eruptions of noise and while the frantic pace of the contest did slaughter at times the wild atmosphere refused to subside.

The opening goal by Samet Akaydin followed a delicious, teasing cross by Guler. It came from a corner needlessly granted by the Dutch. Denzel Dumfries ushered the ball over the line expecting a goal kick, unaware of the deflection it had taken off Nathan Ake.

Here is the moment that seperates the two sides at half-time.

A superb cross from Guler with Akadyin rising highest at the far post to put Turkey ahead.

They are now 45 minutes away from matching their best ever Euros, a run to the semi-finals at Euro 2008.

HALF-TIME: Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

No. Another move breaks down and the half-time whistle goes.

A roar from the Turkey fans, who will be thrilled with that first half.

Two minutes added at the end of this first half.

Those whistles ramp up a notch as Turkey fans respond to a spell of Dutch possession.

Can they fashion a chance before the break?

19:45, 44'

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

What have the Netherlands got in response as half time nears?

Steven Bergwijn has sent a shot from distance well wide of the target.

Gakpo's deflected cross is comfortably claimed. Turkey are looking untroubled at the moment.

19:42, 40'

Netherlands 0-1 Turkey

Incidentally that goal was Akaydin's first for Turkey. Some time to get it.

The defender had come into the team tonight in place of the suspended Demiral.

Something about these Turkish centre backs.

19:36, 35'

GOAL: Netherlands 0-1 Turkey (Akaydin)

It had been coming!

Lift off for Turkey in more ways than one! Their supporters have gone wild as Akaydin puts the underdogs ahead.

The Dutch have themselves to blame as the sloppy concession of another corner proves costly.

While the initial delivery is cleared, Turkey get another chance to cross into the box through Guler.

The Real Madrid teenager's cross is a superb one to the back post, where several Turkish players are waiting to head in.

Samet Akaydin does the honours, heading past Verbruggen to give Turkey a well earned lead.

Verbruggen comes out to punch clear the resulting free kick.

Moments later he watches as Guler's attempt at a curler from the edge of the box drifts harmly over the top.

This is a good spell from Turkey though.

Montella's side force another corner which Guler takes. Yildiz then fires another attempt off target.

19:32, 30'

Netherlands 0-0 Turkey

Xaxi Simons is right up there for pulling faces when decisions go against him.

Simons is the first player booked tonight for a tackle on Muldur.

The Dutch had been scrambling to clear with Van Dijk and Yilmaz having battled for possession in the box.

Van Dijk had looked uncomfortable there.

19:30, 28'

Netherlands 0-0 Turkey

19:28, 25'

Netherlands 0-0 Turkey

Unsurpisingly an open game between these two sides given what they have served up so far at Euro 2024.

It is Turkey's turn to attack now with Yilmaz slipped in again in the the box and he wins their second corner.

The delivery is much more dangerous than the first, but the Dutch defence holds firm.

Turkey scored both of their goals in the last-16 from corners, so Ronald Koeman's side will be all to aware of the danger they pose.

19:23, 20'

Netherlands 0-0 Turkey

Here come Turkey.

Yilmaz just keeps the ball in play and fashions a cross from close to the byline, which the Dutch half clear.

Turkey keep their move alive with Calhanoglu setting his sights from range.

The skipper's deflected effort goes behind for a corner. Calhanoglu is certainly not shy of a pop from range.

Turkey's corner is comfortably claimed by goalkeeper Verbruggen.

Netherlands 0-0 Turkey

The Dutch are making the early running here, with Xavi Simons the latest to have a pop.

His effort drifts wide of the target.

This match should promise goals with the Netherlands and Turkey having both scored seven at Euro 2024.

Only Germany, Spain and Switzerland have scored more.

19:12, 9'

Netherlands 0-0 Turkey

The whistles are back from the Turkey fans as Yilmaz goes down when tussling for the ball with Stefan De Vrij.

I think the Turkish fans may well have a case there, with De Vrij having had a good chunk of Yilmaz's shirt.

He was the last man too.

Would have been a big decision for referee Clement Turpin to make had he given a foul.

The stage is set in Berlin

Mail Sport's Matt Barlow at the Olympiastadion Berlin:

Those in Berlin anticipating the last of the quarter finals now know England will await them in Dortmund.

The rain has stopped and it is a blaze of colour in the Olympic Stadium… the Dutch orange have taken over one section running from behind one goal and around past a corner flag and there’s a heavy Turkish presence everywhere else.

But the shallow sweep of the bowl means the noise is not nearly as intimidating as the last time I saw Turkey, against Georgia in Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion.

Dutch legends in attendance

This would be quite the combative midfield duo.

Former Dutch stars Edgar Davids and Nigel De Jong have been spotted pitchside ahead of the quarter-final.

Neither was afraid of putting in a tackle in their time.

Just ask Xabi Alonso. He is still probably feeling the impact of De Jong's 'challenge' in the 2010 World Cup final.

18:48

Turkey fans ignore warning over 'wolf salutes'

German police urged Turkish fans not to display the controversial 'wolf' gesture prior to the quarter-final.

Safe to say this warning has been ignored by supporters with many recording or pictured making the gesture in the stadium.

The gesture is behind the suspension of centre back Demiral for tonight's match.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser had warned 'the symbols of Turkish right-wing extremists have no place in our stadiums.'

There is likely to be fallout from these gestures, both from UEFA and diplomatically.

Can Gakpo continue his goalscoring form?

Cody Gakpo has been a man in form at Euro 2024, scoring three goals in four matches in Germany.

The Liverpool forward is one of four players tied as the leading goalscorer at Euro 2024.

The Netherlands will be hoping Gakpo can continue his impressive form tonight.

Could Gakpo take the lead outright in the race for the golden boot and take the Dutch into the semi-finals?

Turkey place faith in teen talents

A stat courtesy of UEFA, who note that Turkey have set a record by handing the most starts to teenagers at a single European Championships.

Kenan Yildiz and and Arda Guler will both be starting their fourth matches at Euro 2024.

Their combined tally of four matches will be a record, surpassing with previous mark of six set by Spain at Euro 2020.

All of those Spanish starts were by Pedri.

Turkey president Recep Erdogan arrives in Berlin to attend Euro 2024 quarter-final

Recep Erdogan has flown into Berlin today to attend the quarter-final, with the Turkey president and his wife Emine greeted at the airport earlier today.

Erdogan reportedly changed his schedule to be able to attend the match.

Mail Sport's Ian Herbert reports on how Erdogan's presence could escalate a diplomatic incident between the country and hosts Germany, after Demiral's wolf salute.

The gesture is linked to the ‘Grey Wolves’ – an ultra-nationalist youth branch of Turkey’s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) – an ally of Erdogan’s AK Party.

One Turkish fan has been seen holding a photo of Demiral, with his suspension having gone down badly with their supporters.

Ian Herbert explains more in this story.

TURKEY TEAM NEWS: Hakan Calhanoglu returns to captain Turkey

Turkey have been forced into three changes from their last-16 victory over Austria.

Vincenzo Montella has had to reshuffle his pack with Orkun Kokcu, Ismail Yuksek and Merih Demiral all suspended.

Samet Akaydin, Salih Ozcan and captain Hakan Calhanoglu come into the side.

Calhanoglu had been suspended for the last-16 and his return could be a major boost.

NETHERLANDS TEAM NEWS: Koeman keeps faith with same starting eleven

Ronald Koeman has opting to name the same starting eleven that overcame Romania in the last-16.

There had been doubts over the fitness of Steven Bergwijn, who had been forced off at half-time.

That means Donyell Malen remains among the substitutes, despite scoring twice off the bench against Romania having replaced Bergwign.

England and Switzerland heads to extra time

The three quarter-finals to date have proved extremely tight affairs in Germany, with all three requiring extra time.

Turkey's Merih Demiral misses tonight's quarter-final through suspension

Merih Demiral was Turkey's hero in their last-16 clash with Austria, surprisingly netting in each half.

Demiral's celebration, however, landed the centre back in hot water with UEFA.

The 27-year-old was deemd to have made a ‘wolf salute’, which is associated with the Grey Wolves, a far-right extremist group in Turkey.

UEFA has banned Demiral for two matches 'for violating the basic rules of decent conduct, for using sports events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature and for bringing the sport of football into disrepute'.

How key will his absence be tonight?
