Promotion of Women in Engineering, Research, and Science (POWERS): Addressing Challenges for Girls in STEM through Mentoring

Nanyang Technological University(NTU) led a critical study highlighting that female students leave the STEM career path because they do not feel they belong. The perception was the highest for women who entered STEM careers from non-STEM diploma/degree courses and those who left STEM. Expert leaders focused on advancing diversity in STEM education and into the workforce will share perspectives on this critical topic in a special session during the COSPAR Scientific Symposium in Singapore on April 19, 2023. The session is open to all Symposium registrants, and the distinguished speakers will be announced soon.

Mary Snitch, COSPAR IDEA Coordination Officer (ICO), Moderator
Jean-Yves Le Gall, President of the Strategic Oversight Council, Paris-Saclay University, pre-recorded presentation.
Sook Yee Loh, Maxar Technologies
Jovanni Spinner, American Institute of Physics (AIP)
