Literary events bring books to life. We love to have authors visit Avid and talk to us about their craft and inspirations. But the real magic happens when an event connects people in our community; a shared love of books forms quite a strong bond!
We delight in having events of all kinds, ranging from author visits, cooking demonstrations, open mics, and film screenings, to book clubs, coloring nights, and artist workshops. Our goal is to connect our community in fun and interesting ways while bringing the joy of literature and art to all.
If you are interested in an event for a book from a major publisher, please email our events team here at events@avidbookshop.com. We book author events 3 months prior to the event at minimum. If you are a local author (within 20 miles of Athens) with a smaller publisher or have self-published a book, please click here to fill out the form.
