Simple Glass Mirror That Hangs On Shower Head

The MIRRORVANA hanging shower mirror is easy to use and well built. It's GLASS so there is a high likelihood of steam fogging the mirror when you need it the most. That's why there is a "well" in the back that you fill with hot water. The hot water prevents fogging. BRILLIANT! The hook and frame are plastic, but tough and convenient. You don't have to deal with suction cups or adhesives, so you can just lift it off of the shower head and use it in another bathroom or while traveling/camping.

I was incredibly surprised to discover this is an actual glass mirror! This seems dangerous for me with children in the house (although you do hang it high up). Other shower mirrors I’ve purchased in the past have never been glass and yes the image wasn’t as clear, but it was suffice enough for shaving needs.

Other than that, you fill the back part with hot water and it each time you use it, in order to prevent fogging. I also assumed it was just magically a fog-free mirror - didn’t realize I had to do something to make it foggy. My fault though for not reading before buying. I suppose it really isn’t too big of a deal though.

It does hang well off the top of the shower faucet. And it angles down towards the face at a nice level. It even has a place to hang your razor. It’s nice, just not quite right for our needs. I was hoping to hang this on our outdoor shower, but I’d be too afraid of the wind blowing it over and shattering it.

The Good: Simple elegant design. Fill back reservoir with hot water and the fog disappears. Small ledge with open space for traditional razor (I use a straight razor) and hooked angle arm to secure and adjust view.

The Bad: Designed to hook on/around traditional shower head, but I'm on a military base in the Middle East where it is mostly a stall with pvc piping. I can hook it onto one of the brackets for the pvc and angle the mirror up though. Don't drop it! I did months after this review and it splintered into spiderweb cracks. Appears to have safety glass features as none of the glass fell out.

Overall: I'm happy with it. It is one of those simple designs that makes you say "Why didn't I think of this?". Part of my shower kit now and tested. I recommend!!

In order for the mirror not to steam you have to fill the back with hot water, which I did. It doesnt state if you leave the water in it or dump it out after so I tried both ways. The only way to use the mirror is to hang it from the clip which is a pain on the butt to get on the shower head. Especially full of water. It doesn't have any other options of attaching it anywhere, like using a suction cup. Because it can only go on the shower head and hang down, the mirror is kind of low. I can imagine how awful it would be for a tall person. Not a very good design in my opinion since you're limiting where it can go. There's no options. Also because it hangs behind your shower water it's really hard to actually see the mirror through the shower stream. Terrible design. Again, it's a pain to take it on and off which you have to do every time since you have to fill it up and eventually dump it out. It did stay mostly steam free, though did have a bit of fog on it from the shower, so in that aspect it mostly worked. When I dumped out the water the mirror instantly steamed up so you nust have to leave the water in. Again annoying. It's hot water and when you have to turn it to hook it to the shower it dumps out and burns your hand. I wouldn't suggest this one unless your desperate. It wad a good idea, just poorly executed.
