Relying on the collective experience of multiple state agencies and community partners, the Virginia Office for Substance Abuse Prevention, or VOSAP, provides the Commonwealth with proven resources and tools that address substance abuse.
The mission of VOSAP (formerly known as GOSAP) is to support positive youth development by providing strategic statewide leadership, fostering collaboration and the sharing of resources at all levels, and providing tools and training to practice evidence-based prevention. The organization's goal is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of substance abuse and its consequences.
The following PDF reports highlight VOSAP activities for each calendar year, detailing substance abuse prevention efforts in the Commonwealth.
