Salary: £100-125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

A Venture Capital backed scale-up international events and entertainment business is recruiting a Finance Director, in a newly created senior position. This role has arisen due to the rapid growth experienced by the business in recent years, which is set to continue.

You will support the CFO and other senior colleagues on the strategic direction of the business and a planned exit in 3 – 4 years. The Finance Director will lead the finance team currently comprising of the Financial Controller, Head of Commercial Finance and their teams.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an operationally focussed FD to take responsibility for all the Management Reporting, Financial Accounting, FinOps and Finance Business Partnering activities of the business.

Along with the CFO and Head of Commercial Finance you will oversee all strategic and long-term financial planning and partnering the Executive Team. This will include budgeting and forecasting, FP&A and performance reporting. You will support the Head of Commercial finance to overhaul the Management Information capability of the business to drive commercial insight and support effective decision making across the organisation.

You and the Financial Controller will own and strive to improve all aspects of internal and external Financial Reporting, the Audit, Tax issues and the existing financial controls and processes.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant who can demonstrate the ability to take ownership of the entire finance function in a dynamic scale up and international environment. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the planning and execution of events in the entertainment industry.
