Many of our candidates are asked to complete a technical test as part of an interview process, either before the company will meet them or at the final stages before an offer is made. Whilst a test can be an important part of the process for employers, candidates are finding it increasingly frustrating due to the time commitment required to complete, particulalry if they are in demand and have multiple opportunities they are pursuing. Within the last 2 years, we have seen a significant growth change to single-family housing (SFH). To date, around 90,000 multi-family apartments for rent have been developed, contrasting to fewer than 12,000 single-family rented homes. However, we have recently seen the sector rapidly gain momentum with investors, lenders and developers with investors spending a record £1.9bn buying or funding more than 6,200 SFH homes last year, up fivefold from £388m in 2022, tripling the total size of the market since 2018.
