***UPDATE*** This weekend, I completed King Alfred's Way - 218 miles and 4,485m of vertical climbs (now wishing there was just one more hill!). It was three long, mostly enjoyable days in the saddle with John Bennett, riding across numerous counties and we were blessed with great weather on the whole. I enjoy pushing myself both professionally and personally, but at times this weekend, I felt as uncomfortably uncomfortable as I have ever felt. There is always slightly more in the tank and sometimes, you simply have to dig deep and keep those pedals moving round, metaphorically speaking!
