Overview: Our client, a London-based software group experiencing rapid growth and backed by multiple large investors, is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Finance Director. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in professionalising the company’s finance function, following multiple acquisitions over the past two years. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the financial strategy and operations of a fast-growing company.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Integration and Consolidation:

  • Develop and implement a scalable financial integration and consolidation process for newly acquired subsidiaries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial statements.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Create and track monthly performance dashboards.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance metrics.

Treasury and Funds Management:

  • Oversee treasury functions, including the management of funds flow and cash sweep from subsidiaries to the headquarters.
  • Ensure optimal liquidity and working capital management.

Debt Management:

  • Manage debt reporting and maintain relationships with lenders.
  • Ensure compliance with debt covenants and negotiate financing terms.

Strategic Financial Advisory:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic financial initiatives such as equity raises, acquisition strategies, and leverage management.
  • Provide financial leadership in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Audit Management:

  • Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders.

Tax Coordination:

  • Manage group tax affairs with the assistance of external advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.

Investor Relations:

  • Manage relationships with equity investors, including investment institutions, family offices, and prominent ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
  • Provide regular financial updates and reports to investors.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience ideally within the software or technology sector.
  • Extensive experience in managing financial integrations and consolidations post-acquisitions.
  • Strong background in treasury management, debt reporting, and relationship management with lenders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic financial initiatives and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Experience managing the audit process and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with group tax management and coordination with external tax advisors.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, particularly with equity investors and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

  • £120k + Bonus + Equity
  • Hybrid working (2 days a week in London Offices)
