We are saddened to see the impact of violence and riots on communities across the UK. We believe in the power of communities coming together and the positive change this can bring. For parents and carers in local areas who want to drive positive change for your community and children, our Parent Power chapters are ready to welcome you.

We’re back with our Pioneering Partner of the month! In this series, we spotlight our fantastic university partners and the interventions they support, and in July it’s the University of Bristol! 🎓 Since first partnering in 2016-17, 27 researchers from University of Bristol have delivered 71 placements, inspiring students aged 8-18 with their research. This has supported them to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress to the most competitive universities and beyond. Since in-person trips have resumed, the University of Bristol have welcomed 648 students on campus to launch or celebrate the achievements of their Scholars Programme journey, as well as 71 students on virtual experiences. And it’s not just access interventions which Bristol supports! 6 PhD researchers coached 50 undergraduate students in their first term as part of our university transition programme Join the Dots, where students received 121 academic mentoring and support to develop a sense of belonging at university. A massive thank you to the University of Bristol and their researchers for a brilliant and collaborative partnership in higher education access and success! Do you work for a HE institution? I had a wonderful day of teaching at the Harris Garrard Academy Summer School with The Brilliant Club today! The Brilliant Club is a university access charity that recruits PhD students and Early Career Researchers to support less advantaged school pupils to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. The course I have designed focuses on Menstruation Taboo and Health Promotion, engaging KS4 students in university-style tutorials and offering a solid grounding in practical Medical and Social Sciences. #InspiringInclusion
