👏 Thank you to our incredible delivery partners. Together with the North West London Teaching School Hub we hosted our first ever in-person delivery partner conference at Wembley High Technology College. It brought together partners from our school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) programme, our Early Career Framework and our NPQ programmes. The conference featured an opening speech by our CEO Russell Hobby CBE, carousel discussions on the evolving educational landscape and impactful keynote speakers. We're pleased to announce our NPQ programmes has been rated outstanding by Ofsted in all areas. This marks our third Ofsted rating since March 2023, with our Early Careers Framework (ECF) and our Training Programme also securing outstanding in all areas at their most recent inspections. We also know that great leadership is what makes the biggest difference to teachers. We know that great teaching is what makes the biggest difference to pupils. Our NPQs equip leaders with the knowledge and expertise to make a real difference in their schools and settings, helping every child reach their potential. He’s sharing his experience on our teacher training programme. “Twelve of us were teaching business and we've gotten to know each other quite well - I've now got some good friends I can rely on. “It was the first time I had summer holidays off. It meant I could have time with the children. It's one of the real benefits of teaching. 🌟 At our annual London Careers Expo yesterday, approximately 270 pupils from 14 partner schools gained essential career insights from organisations that share our vision. 👋 Throughout the day, pupils took part in speed networking sessions with industry volunteers, visited stands at the fair to meet our supporters, and gained valuable knowledge that sparked their curiosity. 💬 One School Careers Lead said: “Events like this are vital for young people. They can explore different career paths, talk to volunteers from various companies, and gain a better understanding of the skills required for different careers.” 💬 One Year 12 pupil said: “This event was really beneficial. I learned about apprenticeships and discovered many new options available to me after school. It’s helped me understand my future career choices better.” 💙 We want to thank our amazing supporters: BDO, IG Group, DHL UK Foundation , Amazon, Zurich Insurance, MS Amlin Business Services, BNP Paribas, Harper Adams University, Lazard, and NatWest Group for playing their part in empowering the next generation. 🚨 Five years after completing their GCSEs, 31% of the most disadvantaged pupils are not in sustained education or employment. 💬 “They've been there for me every day.” We spoke with Adelaide (pictured left), a Year 11 pupil who is part of the founding year group at Castle Mead Academy, in Leicester. “These five years have come round really quickly. And it's like, wow, we’re almost at the end, everybody's ready for exams. And it's just the last push. “I want to be a paediatric nurse and for my work experience I got the chance to work at a nursery and it made me realise that I’d love to work with kids in the future. “I've been afraid about life after school. I feel like we're about to leave and go into the big world. “But my teacher said I can always come back if I ever need support with anything. Which is comforting to know. “Miss Woods and Miss Thorley are my favourite teachers. These two ladies have been the best people I could have ever wished for in the whole world. “They've been there for me every day when I was feeling low, when I couldn't focus in class, they would sympathise with me, they would push me, they would encourage me.” 🚀 Whether it's helping them discover a passion for your subject, teaching them the skills they need to take the next step, or just letting them know you believe in them - the impact you'll have as a teacher goes beyond your imagination.
