How can you integrate into the British society when no-one will give you a job, just because you haven’t had a previous job in the UK and you don't have a referee that you can provide in order to get that job? HSBC cracked a similar dilemma with their “No Fixed Address” service in the UK, helping people without a home get access to services that rely on having an address (like opening a bank account). At NEMI Teas, we help refugees break their own employment impasse by offering them hospitality training, employment & reference, helping them into the next stage of their careers. Come visit our café in Angel, TRAMPOLINE Cafe, and see how we are tackling this issue. https://lnkd.in/giHCbKUn https://lnkd.in/ehSc4ud #helpingothers #socialenterprise #refugees

Moreover, we are thrilled that our recent partnerships with multiple corporations have accelerated the expansion of the refugee hospitality training programme at TRAMPOLINE Cafe. Plus, don't miss our Sales Director, Christian Johansen, sharing the NEMI Teas story on Hoxton Radio! 🎙️ Discover more in the newsletter below! 👇 #NEMITeas #Sustainability #OrganicTea

Last week the London-based NEMI Teas team travelled down to Somerset to visit our production facility. It was great to be back on the production floor and chat with our colleagues about the latest sustainable initiatives being implemented ranging from the installation of solar panels to making our own compostable teabag material on site as we strive to have as little environmental burden as we can. Finally the team also got involved in the production of our favorite summer blend - Red Berry! #sustainability #teafactory #organic #fairtrade

As a Social Enterprise UK member, we’ve been matched up with leading businesses on the Buy Social Corporate Challenge, which brings more social enterprises into big supply chains. Thanks to this groundbreaking initiative, we’ve won contracts from big companies such as PwC UK, Linklaters, EY, CBRE, Landmarc Solutions, SAP, AstraZeneca, Lendlease, Zurich Insurance, NFU Mutual, Nestlé, Sodexo, Willmott Dixon, Nationwide Building Society and Compass Group UK & Ireland. It’s great to see these major players committed to buying from social enterprise suppliers, using their purchasing power to have a positive impact. A new report on the Challenge reveals this year has been the biggest and best yet, seeing corporate partners spend £123 million with social enterprises – making £477 million in total since this all began in 2016. The social value at the heart of our work is clearly a growing trend in the wider business world, and we’re pleased to be leading the way. #BuySocial #SocialValue #ESG #SustainableProcurement
