🌟 Reflecting on an inspirational conversation!🌟 I attended the 15th year anniversary of my church OASIS OF LOVE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE this past weekend, and I had the privilege of meeting PC Rani Gundhu QPM, the longest serving female police officer in the West Midlands Police Department and someone truly exceptional. Our conversation touched on profound topics like imposter syndrome and how to overcome it, navigating a career in a male-dominated field, and overcoming barriers with grace and determination. During the event, she shared a beautiful poem about the importance of roots in our lives. She likened the individuals in our lives to roots and emphasised that the strongest roots are usually the ones able to hold us through the storms of life. She said "if you can find some people in your life, that are like the roots of a tree, then you have found something special. Like the roots of a tree, they are hard to find... and their only job is to help you live a strong and healthy life. If you thrive they are happy and if you go through a storm, they will hold you up". And I think this really highlights the steadfast support of family, friends, partners and mentors that shape our journey. It was a touching moment that resonated deeply. We also discussed the transformative impact of apprenticeships on lives today. She shared compelling insights into how apprenticeships provide invaluable opportunities for growth and development across various career paths. Additionally, she generously shared pictures of projects she's been involved in, each reflecting her passion and dedication. It was inspiring to hear her stories and witness the positive impact of her work and also see her love for what she does. Her wisdom and guidance were invaluable, offering perspectives that will undoubtedly shape my personal and professional journey. Meeting such a trailblazer reaffirms the power of mentorship and the importance of embracing opportunities for learning and growth. Here's to celebrating those who inspire us to overcome challenges and make meaningful contributions! 🌟💐 #Inspiration #Mentorship #Leadership #CareerJourney #Apprenticeships #WomenInLeadership

A year later and i’m back where it started!! The HMRC Apprenticeship Awards 2024🥳🥳 This time round I had the pleasure of co-hosting alongside my colleague Joe Sevenoaks. We recognised apprenticeships in HMRC and more importantly recognised those apprentices who really go above and beyond! A huge congratulations to everyone who was nominated and those who received an award!👏🏾👏🏾 Special shout out to Julia Taylor who has succeeded me as Apprentice Ambassador of The year for 2024!! She is a massive champion for apprenticeships and heads up the Manchester region for the HMRC Apprenticeship Network. Keep on shining Julia! Huge well done and thank you to Paula Allerton, Celise Newton and Louise Beckett as well as all those involved in making the awards happen!! #HMRC #apprenticeships #awards HM Revenue & Customs

Level 6 Architectural Assistant Apprentice | Construction Services Finalist - Multicultural Apprentice Awards 2022 & 2023
🎉 Thrilled to share some exciting news! 🎉 I’ve been shortlisted as a finalist for the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards in the Construction Services category for a third consecutive year! 🌟 🎓 I am also proud to share that I’ve successfully completed my BA Hons Architecture degree after four years on this incredible apprenticeship route.🎓 As this journey as an Architectural Apprentice comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to recognise the immense support I have received from my Family, Friends and Colleagues who have encouraged and supported me throughout my time as an apprentice. I look forward to continuing my career in architecture, starting my Masters apprenticeship in September, taking me right the way through to full qualification. Jacobs LSBU Apprenticeships RIBA

Hi network 😊, As an ambassador in the Early Careers team at HSBC, today I had the avenue to give a talk at the careers events at Queen Mary's High School . As someone who has struggled with public speaking in the past and also currently (albeit a bit more confident now), It was an amazing opportunity to hone my public speaking skills further. I also had the pleasure of meeting Zena Perry-Hartle and hearing her inspiring story 😊. During the talk, I covered various key points: - The opportunities offered by HSBC as alternatives to University - An in-depth discussion on apprenticeships - Insight into my daily routine and career journey - Our purpose and Values - Overview of the different business functions within the bank I am grateful for the chance to inform the next generation of apprentices about these opportunities, and I would like to say a big thank you to the lovely staff at Queen Mary's and the Early Careers team at HSBC 😊. Apprenticeships play a crucial role in providing invaluable experiences, mentorship, and a strong foundation for professional growth and If you would like to know what opportunities HSBC offers, kindly visit https://lnkd.in/gcCX3XX2. Alternatively, you can always reach out to me and I am always happy to have a conversation 😊. #CareerTalks #Apprenticeships #ProfessionalGrowth #PublicSpeakingOpportunity #HSBC
