🏳🌈 Celebrating Pride Month at Matalan! 🏳🌈 We’ve been bursting with Pride this June, colleagues have come together across the organisation to recognise and support the LGBTQ+ community. Being real is one of our core values and, we’re dedicated to creating a community where everyone is welcome, accepted and can bring their whole selves to work. Here are a few highlights of how we’ve been raising the rainbow flag: 💻 The amazing Reeta Loi joined us for an inspirational webinar exploring what Pride really means, touching on the history, politics and motivation behind the movement 👗 Colleagues showed their support and solidarity by rocking their brightest and most colourful outfits on Wear it with Pride day 🎉 Stores and the Support Hub also got a make-over, dressed to the nines with some Pride spirit 👋We had a fantastic day raising awareness at the Cardiff Pride Parade – and we're sooo excited to have Glasgow and Liverpool parades still to come in July. It doesn’t stop there though. This Wednesday, Matalan colleagues from across our business gathered at the NSPCC's Hargreaves Centre in Liverpool to celebrate 20 incredible years of partnership. 💚 Over the past two decades, Matalan has raised an incredible £11 million to support the NSPCC's vital work for vulnerable children across the UK, such as Childline counsellors being available 24/7, 365 days a year for children across the UK, no matter their worry. This visit was all about seeing the amazing impact of those contributions and a reminder of why we continue to partner and fundraise for such an impactful charity. Clare Crabb the NSPCC's Assistant Director for the North West, gave a warm welcome to our team, before exploring different aspects of the NSPCC's work. From the NSPCC's online safety campaigns to key issues callers talk about on childline. This visit was not only a celebration of past achievements but a rallying call for the future. With the ongoing support of our colleagues and customers, there's no limit to what can be accomplished in protecting and nurturing children across the UK. 💫 #LifeAtMatalan #NSPCC
