Last week we hosted a small drinks reception to celebrate our 30th anniversary in the beautiful Shiseido offices! 🥂🍾 We were joined by corporate partners, beneficiaries, volunteers and trustees from across the 30 years as well as our Honorary Life President, Richard Bradley. 💚 JOBS OF THE WEEK 💚 Charity People is delighted to be supporting Look Good Feel Better UK to recruit for a Head of Fundraising and a Communications and Marketing Officer. **Head of Fundraising** 📑 Permanent role, 37.5 hour week, flexible working hours between 08.00 – 19.00 Monday – Friday. 📍Hybrid – a mix of work from home and Epsom (Surrey) office; ideally you will be in the office a minimum of two or three days per week, and the charity is very happy to offer more days on site if office working suits you. 💷 Salary £45K rising to £50K upon the successful completion of a 6-month probation. **Communications and Marketing Officer** 📑 Permanent role, 37.5 hour week, flexible working hours between 08.00 – 19.00 Monday – Friday. 📍Hybrid – a mix of work from home and Epsom (Surrey) office; ideally you will be in the office a minimum of two or three days per week, and the charity is very happy to offer more days on site if office working suits you 💷 £35,000. Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. We spoke to Emma Atkins, Corporate Partnership Development Manager at LGFB about what she finds most rewarding about her role. 👇 "I work with lots of brands from across the beauty sector and beyond to help raise awareness and donations for the charity. This is very rewarding as I have the opportunity to talk to many organisations about Look Good Feel Better and explore ways that they can support the charity, whether this be through fundraising, volunteering, or product donation. The support from our corporate partners has a huge impact on the number of beneficiaries that we are able to reach, and the service that we can provide. On average someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer at least every 90 seconds, I want to continue to make an impact by supporting people who are living with cancer, to me this is extremely rewarding, and it is why I work at Look Good Feel Better." 💗 Thank you Emma for all the great work you do for LGFB! 👏

What a night 💜..... Yesterday evening, in the stunning offices of Shiseido, Look Good Feel Better UK hosted a small drinks reception to celebrate our upcoming 30th birthday. A truly humbling experience to see a room full of corporate supporters, beneficiaries, volunteers and trustees from across the 30 years, some who have supported the charity from day 1.. We were also joined by our Honorary Life President, Richard Bradley, to say a few words about our 30 year heritage within the UK beauty industry and how we were actually created by the industry, to serve as a vehicle for it to access and support cancer patients across the UK. We have a dual mission... 1. To help more and more people, facing cancer in the UK. Giving them the power of self-confidence through transformation and the ability to manage the cosmetic impact of their cancer treatment 2. To reclaim our position as THE charity of the UK beauty industry. To collaborate, to support each other and to align our resources and talents to make a significant difference in cancer support. We need your help more than ever. And a huge thank you to my own team, a wonderful collection of souls, who give everything, every day, to the cause. You really are remarkable individuals. Thank you to everybody who attended last night, it was a delight to spend time in your company and let's drive the future of Look Good Feel Better UK together 💜💜
