We were delighted to participate in this year's edition of Generation Innovation once again. Our company representatives participated in workshops at the Catalyst-hosted events alongside students who we welcomed to our Belfast and North West offices on their final day. We were proud to take part in the Compliance Institute Northern Ireland regional chapter launch. Our Managing Director - Head of KYC & FinCrime, Rosalynd Smyth, took part in the panel covering the growing compliance opportunities in Northern Ireland.
Thank you to our Panels who spoke to our attendees at today's Launch of the Northern Ireland Compliance Institute Chapter. Panel 1 - Individual Success Stories Christopher Owers, Global Head of Regulatory Compliance Solutions, First Derivative, Alison Donnelly, Director of fscom, The Fintech Corridor Ambassador and Neil Sinclair, Consultant at Pytilia shared their personal journeys and achievements navigating the complexities of compliance. Each panelist provided insights into their career paths, highlighting key challenges and the strategies they employed to overcome them. Panel 2 - The Growth of Compliance Opportunities in Financial Services in Northern Ireland The second panel opened with Karen Bradbury, FS Sector Lead sharing a presentation with attendees on Northern Ireland’s Financial & Professional Services Sector. Karen joined the panel with Ciaran Lavery, Director CGW Compliance, Citi, Rosalynd Smyth, Managing Director at FinTrU that was moderated by Tracy Tookey, Tracy Tookey Consulting Limited. Yesterday we hosted our Annual General Meeting at the Custom House Belfast, where we saw a record number of our members in attendance, welcoming old and new. We are delighted to announce that Gavin Annon has been re-elected as President. Joining Gavin, we warmly welcome Darragh McCarthy as our new Vice President and Paul McClurg as Treasurer.
