We are thrilled to announce that we've been nominated by the EY Foundation for the Southern Employer Impact Awards! The EY Foundation is an independent charity supporting young people from low-income backgrounds in securing paid work experience, employability skills training, and mentoring. This award recognises employer partners that have promoted and partnered with the Foundation's work, including The Chartered Banker Institute and EY Foundation's ‘Smart Futures’ programme - which we've been a part of for the past few years. This year we hosted four young people across our London and Manchester offices. They will also each have a mentor for the next 9 months to help guide them in their next steps- a special nod of appreciation to Lisa Cleaver, Sukhi B, and Ian Rolls for volunteering as mentors this year! How far would you go to raise money for a cause you believe in?   Last week, our very own JANE PALMER and Simon Gunnell tested this question, taking a leap as part of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice's Skydive Day!   We’re in awe of their gravity defying efforts to support the great work our #charity partners do to help children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions make the most of every day.   Their bravery has paid off, raising nearly £5000 in total including match funding by Cynergy Bank. Well done both!

Our Chief Operating & Product Officer Sharon Maguire took to the stage at this year’s Banking Transformation Summit. She joined Linh Nguyen Slater, Ronelle A., Stuart Simmons, and Yemi Oluseun, to discuss how hyper personalisation is changing the shape of the Financial Services industry. Sharon spoke about how, in an increasingly digital #banking sector, consolidating data sources to proactively anticipate customer needs can be a gamechanger for customer experience and satisfaction. She also shared insights from Cynergy Bank’s ‘Human-Digital’ model and our transformation journey to achieve the optimal balance between digital experience and the human touch. After a month of lunchtime strolls, early morning commutes, and weekend excursions, we’re delighted to announce the Cynergy Bank team managed an incredible 38 million steps during our "Walk this May" initiative – all in support of our charity partners Noah's Ark Children's Hospice! A huge well done to our colleagues who took part- and special mention to "Kerry and the Pacemakers" who achieved an incredible 3.5 million steps as a team, and to the "Red Hot Chilli Steppers", our favourite team name!
