We've partnered with GoMedia Services Ltd to trial Luna - an innovative solution to help British Sign Language (BSL) users. There are more than 150,000 people in the UK who rely on BSL, meaning that many passengers who are deaf or have hearing loss struggle to access essential information whilst travelling. This time two weeks ago, colleagues from ARL came together for our annual leadership conference. 🎤 The theme of this year's conference was 'learning for the future’, providing an opportunity to spotlight our people's fantastic achievements over the past eight years... 🌽 We heard from customer host David Craunston about his tireless dedication to charity City Harvest London, who he has worked with to provide the equivalent of 2,799 meals through food collections and monetary donations. 👨🎓 Driver instructor Ryan Hall spoke about his experience of progressing internally, as well as the support he has received from ARL to develop further through funding for a CIRO | Chartered Institution of Railway Operators qualification. ⚠ Customer hosts Norja Hamilton and Chris Newton talked us through their collaborative working to produce tailored packs for each station, which ensure our colleagues can efficiently provide customers with the information and assistance they need during service disruption. Colleagues also discussed their ambitions for the #LondonOverground and shared ideas around how we can be ever better for our customers in the coming years.
