Dr. Ehler H. Eiskamp Endowed Scholarship Fund

In partnership with the Cabrillo College Foundation, the Community Health Trust administers the Dr. Ehler H. Eiskamp Endowed Scholarship Fund, which provides funding to students of Cabrillo College’s Allied Health Program.

About Dr. Ehler Eiskamp

A Stanford graduate and the Monterey Bay area’s first professionally trained surgeon, Dr. Ehler H. Eiskamp practiced medicine in Watsonville for nearly 60 years before retiring in his 80’s to tend his ranch. Before his death in 2000, Dr. Eiskamp created a Trust to support charitable and educational efforts locally. The Trust’s assets have grown to more than $1 million under the stewardship of his son John G. Eiskamp.

“My father dedicated his life to caring for residents of the Pajaro Valley,” says Eiskamp. “He wanted to leave a legacy that would support young people in the community to do the same.”

Cabrillo College Emergency Fund

CHT contributes annually to Cabrillo’s Student Emergency Fund. These funds provide a safety net for students pursuing healthcare careers by helping to offset the cost of books and other academic supplies. For more information on Cabrillo’s Emergency Fund, please visit cabrillo.edu.

As a first-generation college student, this is a big help to move towards my goal. Graduating high school was a big struggle, but I made it! Now I am going to take a big step closer to my finish line.
