Behind the scenes of the Community Health Trust is a network of individuals that support our mission to foster health and equity by being a part of our Board of Directors or one of our many committees. Being on a committee is a great way to volunteer your experience, skills, and passion to make a positive impact.
We are so thankful to this special group of individuals who give their time and knowledge. Below is a list of our current Committees:
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is in charge of developing and recommending financial policies to the Board of Directors, reviewing and recommending the annual operating budget, and reviewing and advising on the financial feasibility of acts and undertakings referred by the Board of Directors. This committee meets every other month beginning in July for 1-hour over Zoom.
Grants Review Committee
The Grants Review Committee ensures the grant-making program aligns with CHT’s strategic plan, evaluates and recommends grants and scholarships to be funded to organizations or students, and developing and implementing grant-making policies and procedures. This committee meets the second Tuesday of every month from January – April to support the grant-making timelines.
Culture and Diversity Committee
The Culture and Diversity Committee recommends policies and procedures to assist CHT in achieving the Board's equity in its role as a funder, an employer, a service provider, and a community citizen. It also prepares and presents to the Board an annual work plan for Board and staff training, seminars, and/or retreats to enrich board and staff knowledge and understanding of diversity and cultural competency. This committee meets as needed.
Program Committee
The Program Committee recommends policies and procedures to assist CHT in meeting strategic plan and department goals, achieving high-quality care, improved access, and increased utilization and sustainability. This committee meets every month on the third Tuesday at noon for one hour.
Development Committee
The Development Committee advises and assists the Development staff to develop and plan an annual fundraising plan consistent with the strategic plan, including fundraising goals and strategies for individual and corporate giving. The meeting schedule has not been determined.
