On Monday 8 July, Cotswold District Council hosted their very own Sewage Summit at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester. This event brought together environmental activists, water companies and other agencies to delve into the underlying causes of sewage pollution affecting our district and exploring effective and practical measures to stop it.

Three local authorities, West Oxfordshire District Council, Cotswold District Council and Forest of Dean District Council are to consider moving forward with plans to take greater control of council services. 

Residents in Cotswold District will need to show photographic ID to vote in person at the General Election on 4 July.

Voters across Cotswold District are being encouraged to make sure they are prepared for the general election ahead of the deadlines so that they can vote on 4 July. 

Cotswold District Council has announced it is changing the waste collection days for 60 per cent of households in the district as the local authority drives for greater efficiency within its waste and recycling service. 

In partnership with our not-for-profit leisure providers, Freedom Leisure, Cirencester Leisure Centre is undergoing significant refurbishment and is due to be completed by the end of summer. 

The leaked Gloucestershire County Council document sets out the County Council’s vision for strategic housing development across the county. The vision is based around key transport centres, such as railway stations.
