Debut Year (2018-2019)[edit]
GumaYusi made his debut in 2018 where he started in the KeG Championhip. Asa a part of KeG Seoul he won the city-based competition to qualify for the KeSPA Cup. This roster also took a part in the nation based IeSF representing South Korea that year. Coming in as the favourites country to win the event, they won without dropping a single game.
Going into the KeSPA Cup, the city-based team managed to get an upset win over the LCK team, Hanwha Life Esports. However after their victory they were eliminated by DAMWON Gaming.
Following the KeSPA Cup. GumaYusi joined SK Telecom T1 as a trainee player. GumaYusi did change his name to Catan with this signing. [1]
Over the course of 2019 he continued in the trainee program. And on November 26th he was added to the main roster as a substitute player. [2] He would not see much play, but in the Regional Finals T1 opted to field him on the starting roster. They would gain a victory over the Afreeca Freecs, but ultimately were defeated by Gen.G Esports in the Finals, which meant T1 would not qualify for Worlds.
World's Debut (2021)[edit]
(2022)[edit]

Becoming A World Champion (2023)[edit]
Gumayusi made his third Worlds appearance with T1 coming in as the second seed from the LCK and would make their way through the Swiss Stage by only dropping a game to Gen.G Esports. Following their advancement they first had to face of against LNG Esports from the LPL, who they were able to sweep 3-0. Their next opponent was JD Gaming. A team that was looking to complete their "Golden Road" and were seen as the favourites to win the tournament. However, T1 was able to come out on top in the series with a 3-1 victory. With their victory, Gumayusi entered his second consecutive Worlds Finals. This time being faced with Weibo Gaming. T1 dominated the series and swept the final LPL team 3-0. With their victory, Gumayusi had won his first worlds title.
