Here’s a glimpse into our Pride Month celebrations at GCPL! In June, we embraced the vibrant colours of Pride, celebrating diversity, love, and inclusion. We kicked off with a powerful LGBTQIA+ inclusion workshop at our offices, followed by a thought-provoking performance exploring the privileges of a heteronormative world. These efforts aim to foster behaviours that deeply respect, value, and embrace individuals from the queer community. Our inaugural Godrej Pride March was a proud milestone in our commitment to inclusion. Beyond that, our global teams enthusiastically joined in, each contributing uniquely. Inclusion has also become integral to our hiring practices. #PrideAtGCPL #DiversityAndInclusion

Did you know that plastic waste is the biggest type of waste in Indonesia? It makes up 18.9% of all waste, according to the National Waste Management Information System. As a company dedicated to environmental restoration, our Indonesia team organised a workshop with Kertabumi Recycling Center to celebrate #WorldEnvironmentDay. The workshop focused on waste management and upcycling to raise awareness among our teams. We invited our teammates to turn plastic packaging waste from our products into items like pillows, pouches, and wallets using plastic waste and used sponges. The materials for the workshop were collected from the Godrej Kebaikan Bersama (Goodness) waste bank. We are building a culture of environmental responsibility and innovation. This initiative helps reduce plastic waste and shows how we can creatively repurpose materials to benefit our people and planet. Together, we are making a real difference in promoting sustainability and protecting the environment. Rajesh Sethuraman Abhinav D. Atul Tiwari Basuki B Cicin Winedar Kusumawati . There was a time in India, not long ago, when malaria was a constant threat. People feared getting sick, and the disease took a heavy toll on communities. But then, in 1955, something remarkable happened. The Indian government issued a special postage stamp to raise awareness about malaria. This stamp, featuring a spraying insecticide pump and the Caduceus symbol, was a turning point. The stamp campaign sparked a nationwide effort to fight malaria. People began using mosquito nets, communities implemented large-scale spraying programs, and public education initiatives helped spread awareness about the disease. These efforts, much like the heroes in a story, fought back against the threat of malaria. They protected communities and saved lives. Inspired by India's pioneering 1955 initiative, our #EMBED campaign carries forward this legacy of innovation and impact. Today, the EMBED campaign is more than just a continuation of these efforts—it's a movement. By focusing on sustainable practices and empowering community education, we are pushing the boundaries in the fight against diseases like malaria and dengue. Watch this video to know more! [Our Project EMBED, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s National Centre for Vector-borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC), has focused on the elimination of vector-borne diseases across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra in India. Through this programme, we've engaged in behaviour change programs, community outreach, and technical support initiatives to combat vector-borne diseases effectively. Sudhir Sitapati, our CEO and Managing Director, spent an exciting few days in Indonesia, conducting factory visits, meetings with consumers and customers, and discussions with young managers. The trip commenced with a factory visit to understand operational challenges and working conditions while acknowledging the improvements made. This was followed by a town hall where he directly interacted with our teammates, emphasising the importance of safety in the organisation and the goal of achieving zero injuries. Sudhir also took this opportunity to express his appreciation for all the accomplishments in FY24 and to reinforce the goodness manifesto and our exciting and ambitious growth plans for the year. He concluded his trip with a consumer visit to observe the behaviour of Indonesian consumers, assess sales productivity and identify opportunities for growth with distributors. It was an action-packed few days, and here’s a glimpse! Rajesh Sethuraman Abhinav Dwivedi Atul Tiwari Basuki B. Cicin Winedar Kusumawati . Since 2015, our Elimination of Vector-borne Diseases (#EMBED) programme, which we run in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s National Centre for Vector-borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC), has been dedicated to eliminating vector-borne diseases in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh in India. Our primary focus is on fostering education, through which we actively empower communities with tools and knowledge for improved health and environmental conservation. We employ various strategies such as distributing insecticide-treated nets, implementing effective waste management practices, and conducting educational outreach initiatives. Watch this video to witness the day-to-day efforts of a village empowered by EMBED. It showcases their proactive measures against disease transmission, including maintaining clean water sources and utilising mosquito nets and natural repellents.
