About us

Nurture Africa is an Irish-founded, international non-governmental organisation established in 2003. Through implementation of a holistic "family-centred" approach, Nurture Africa supports families in Uganda with access to healthcare (specifically HIV treatment and care, primary healthcare and maternal healthcare), education (both formal and vocational), child rights and income generation through business training and mirco-finance loans in order to evelate them sustainably out of poverty. Nurture Africa also works within the humanitarian sector, supporting South Sudanese refugees living within UN displacement camps in Northern Uganda by providing children and youth with access to both formal and non-formal education and training in the rights of the child. We facilitate specialised volunteer opportunities on our established volunteer programme for healthcare, teaching and Professional Skill volunteer's. Our continuous link with these communities enables Nurture Africa supporters and volunteers to make a lasting difference.
