The only thing I expect from Apple is disappointment. It's a lot easier that way.
I'll probably just get a refurbished base iMac Pro for $4200. It's only a little more expensive than a high-end 2017 iMac, and is much faster, with significantly better cooling, which also means quieter. I don't think they're going to release a refreshed iMac that beats the iMac Pro, with 8 cores, Vega 64, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, at a bargain price.was hoping for imac updates early 2019, would be really lame to stretch out update to back end
I agree that it’s very likely, and like many I’d expect it in lower-powered MacBook, MacBook Air, and maybe 13” MBP at first. Possibly never for iMac Pro/Mac Pro, given the small sales volume of those models, and the relative difficulty of exceeding Intel’s price/performance point. Plus the iMac Pro is reasonably popular with developers, and there’s probably a fair amount of demand for running Windows/Linux VMs.Pretty credible rumor from Bloomberg and one we've also heard from multiple sources. I can tweak the wording. Just FYI, everything in here is based on rumor as mentioned up top. Thanks for the feedback![]()
I’m hearing the 9.7" iPad is probably done for.
Extremely unlikely, unless you refer to the rumor of it getting a slightly larger 10”-ish screen. $329 is a great price point, though $299 would be better.I’m hearing the 9.7" iPad is probably done for.

The Reality is, the 9.7 iPad is perfect more in line for the education based demographic, which is what Apple really is aiming for the school systems, and it’s perfect for just a basic media device for those who don’t really have the need for the more expensive features of the Pro line offering.
The Mac Pro already slipped a year. I remember there was an interview with Phil Schiller in the last quarter of 2017 where he said "Apple has never been more committed to it's pro customers" (LOL, OK Phil) and to expect a new Mac Pro in the first half of 2018... well, that never happened.
Every year it seems we get "next year for iPhones will be super exciting!!!"
Then at the start of the year it's like "feature X for new iPhones delayed till next year"
Apple released a very minor update last year and sales fell flat, it needs something exciting this year with iPhones, please.

[*]Apple News Service - Apple is planning a $9.99 per month subscription news service that would give unlimited access to paywalled sites like The New York Times and the Washington Post. Not all news sites are on board yet, but this is expected to be announced at the March 25 event.
[*]iOS 12.2 - iOS 12.2 expands Apple News to Canada ...
Ha love how you refer to the iPhone as a toy.... it’s rhe most powerful mini computer on the planet
Apple will also announce AR glasses in 2019. Stay tuned
Only innovation now is how can Apple make money with the least amount of effort or logistics. iOS, accessories and now services. It all sounds like Apple is preparing to drag out Hardware release dates for as long as possible. I would not be surprised that in the last two months of the year the announcements will start with product not arriving until after Christmas. I wish they would get back to real innovation. I have had more than enough of fake innovations.
I hope you have a "pro" use case and are as dedicated to Apple as Apple is to you because the next Mac Pro isn't going to be for hobbyists. Expect it to be $5,000-$25,000 maxed out. If you make movies for Hollywood you are nothing to be disappointed.
