Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is a truely wonderful place to stay. We stayed on the fourth floor and had wonderful views over the old town from two sets of floor to ceiling glass doors. This apartment/hotel was spacious with a large living area easily accommodating 6 people. The living/dining room had a wonderful kitchen with everything you could want and even better it came with some food in the fridge, fresh oranges to squeeze and some basic meal requirements. Every evening you could place a draw-string bag on the back of your door and each morning it would be filled with the appropriate amount of fresh Croissants and bread rolls - all included in the price! The bedrooms were large and well thought out with views. The main bedroom had an exceptional ensuite and the second bedroom (located at the other end of the apartment for maximum privacy) had a full bathroom located immediately next door. We had to accommodate 5 of of us so we used the sofa bed in the lounge which was declared extremely comfortable but if there were just 4 of you this apartment could not be more perfect. We made good use of the new Bosch washing/drying machine in the hall cupboard which was so efficient and quiet I'm going to get one!

We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment on the 4th floor of Almaria Ex Libris Chiado. It is impossible to say enough good things about this hotel! I was traveling for business, and brought along my toddler and parents. The hotel was beautifully decorated with every possible accommodation that would could think of - beautiful, big kitchen and bathrooms, quiet in the hotel, a perfect location within easy walking distance of major sites, an elevator, fresh bread delivered to your apartment door every morning, outstanding air conditioning and large windows - perfect! Everyone in the family was pleased and had what they needed... including space to spend time together and separately.
While the accommodating were great, the staff really make the place shine. They kindly answered questions ahead of time over email. When we arrived a crib was nicely made up in the room and they gave my daughter a little teddy bear. This bear has become her favorite toy in the entire world. A few weeks later we lost the bear on another trip. I contacted the hotel to ask where they purchased it. They mailed us a new bear internationally, complete with a handwritten note including photos of teddy all around the hotel explaining why he had temporarily gone missing. My daughter and I were both ecstatic!
I travel at least once a month, often more frequently. This is the most outstanding customer service that I have ever encountered.

We spent two weeks in the top (5th) floor 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment with kitchen and washer/dryer. We really enjoyed it.
José and his team were extremely pleasant and very conscious of the measures necessary to protect guests from the pandemic. José himself went out of his way to be helpful to us.
The Chiado location, next to Bairro Alto and near Príncipe Real, is hard to beat for exploring the city and the views from our terraces were spectacular.
Highly recommended!

What a great stay at Almaria apts. The location was amazing! the staff was superb. Rueben , Lidya and the other staff at the reception were great and very hospitable. The apt has elevator so you don’t have to worry about carrying luggage. We had the one bedroom apt on the 2nd floor. The bathroom is not next to the bedroom. you have to cut across the kitchen. This was totally fine with us and a better set up. The windows are sound proof and you can’t hear any street noise. It’s a very contemporary style apartment. Standing on the balcony and watching the trams & ppl was nice. Fell in love with the place. Five nights went by so quickly. We loved the variety of fresh bread for breakfast. They even served gluten free bread when I shared about the gluten allergies. The other good thing is that the apartment gets cleaned daily and they bring the in the eggs, meats, cheese and stock the fridge. You have all the kitchen utensils incase you plan to cook. We made eggs and enjoyed the coffee. The neighborhood is great if you want to step out for restaurants, shopping, bars, wine lounges. You can walk up the hill for some gorgeous views. Ruben gave very nice restaurant recommendations. It’s a beautiful apt and we had fantastic stay. You will not be disappointed!! Highly recommend staying here!

Spacious, tastefully appointed and in a fantastic central location that was walkable to a lot of places. We were 3 adults, and stayed in a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, with living room balconies facing the main street. Unit had a dishwasher, microwave, oven, iron & board, and even a washer/dryer(European style) which we promptly used having traveled a bit by then. Bathroom was spacious and there was lots of storage in the apartment. Fresh bread and breakfast items being delivered every day was such a treat. They even had a lovely cake for us for a milestone we were celebrating and champagne and cultural treats for NYE. Every interaction I had with staff was very nice.

This apartment hotel was excellent. The location is in the heart of the old city center, within walking distance of most sites. The rooms were large and very comfortable for our family of three. The kitchen and washer/dryer was a bonus. Breakfast was left in the refrigerator with fresh bread and pastries delivered to our room each morning. We received restaurant recommendations and acommunication with the hotel was great. Would definitely stay here again!

We just spent 3 wonderful nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. Perfect location for exploring all of Lisbon easily. We found some great restaurants within walking distance. The suite was roomy and quite beautiful and we appreciated having a washer/ dryer and dishwasher. Loved the breakfast provided daily - meats, cheeses, pastries, yogurt . We received a warm welcome when we arrived from Joanna who was very helpful and recommended a good restaurant around the corner. It was so nice to have space and all the comforts of home instead of a small hotel room and even though our room faced a busy street it was very quiet with the windows closed. If ( when) we return to lisbon we would definitely stay here again. It was even easy to have our rental car dropped off for us at the hotel for our departure on our way to the Algarve

The Almaria Ex Libris is a little gem in the heart of Lisbon. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The daily breakfast of freshly baked bread, fresh orange juice and coffee is such a treat and Jose who was there to check us in was always ready and willing to help with anything we needed. Excellent location.

We spent just 2 nights here and I bring back home with me just great memories! It was very clean, location was great and the care provided by everyone was just out of the ordinary. Breakfast was prepared for us the previous night and brought to the fridge in our room. Hot bread was delivered to our room at 8:00am each morning and left by the door. Did I mention the room comes with a full kitchen ? And a washer / dryer for clothes? And a dish washer…!!! It’s a fully loaded apartment decorated with exquisite Portuguese taste! We will be back!

Two of us spent 4 nights in one bedroom apartment. We found this hotel to be an excellent option for staying in Lisbon. The location is perfect: central, plenty of restaurants nearby. Our apartment faced the back street, which had many restaurants. They were loud sometimes but the windows were well soundproofed. Only occasional sounds could get through the windows. The apartment was spacious and clean. Cleaning service was every day. The breakfast food was stored in the fridge: 2 eggs per person, yogurts, meats and cheeses, some fruits and veggies. We could cook eggs in the kitchen. There was coffee and tea available as well. Fresh bread was delivered every morning 8-8:15 (Saturday night for Sunday morning) Combined washer/dryer worked well.

We had the same situation and the hotel was great. They initially said that we could drop our bags off and they would watch them until our room was ready. They even had an extra apartment in the back where we could relax on the couch for a while after our long overnight flight. Luckily our room was ready around 10:30 or 11 and they just let us check in early. I can’t say enough good things about the Almaria Ex Libris.
