Advanced Lecturers Christopher Makler received the 2024 Economics Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award, and Scott McKeon received the 2023-2024 Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching Award.
The University of Zurich awarded B. Douglas Bernheim an honorary doctorate. Bernheim gave a public lecture for the special occasion.

Muriel Niederle was elected as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2024 for the excellence of her work in behavioral and experimental economics.
Neale Mahoney will begin his term as SIEPR's director on January 1, 2025.

Stanford Institute for Theoretical Economics (SITE)

The SITE 2024 Conference takes place this summer from July 1 - September 11 on the Stanford campus with sessions that cover a wide-range of economic topics. Its purpose is to advance economic science for the benefit of society and to support cutting-edge work of economic theorists within specialized areas of research.
