A belated celebration of our Techstars demo day on the 6th of June, a highlight to end our journey with the incredible Techstars Sustainability Paris team. Happy Monday to everyone and some great news from the EU! The EU Nature Restoration law has finally passed! After a fair bit of back and forth the law has finally passed, for a concrete goal of halting and reversing biodiversity loss by 2050. The degradation of nature and soils is already impacting agriculture yields and fertiliser requirements, and in turn the state of rivers and waterways (it's frightening to see how many lakes have become eutrophic in the last 50 years). Beyond this, our children will experience a very different "wild" than us or our parents have seen. This law is intended to finally put in place actions to reverse that trend. We are all crossing our fingers that this results in at least slowing down our current extinction event, for many species and ecosystems 2050 will be too late to save them, but finally some action in the right direction. https://lnkd.in/dQ_tsgPx

Proud to announce that we were one of the two winners of of the Tideline Startup Challenge: Biodiversity & Public Health at Waves of Change 2024! Thanks to the excellent pitching from our lead ecologist Ryan Boarman in beautiful Biarritz, Inverto Earth and PRONOE won the challenge with their solutions for biodiversity and public health.

Inverto Earth is a NatureTech Challenge Finalist 🏆 We're thrilled to announce we have been selected to take part in the NatureTech Challenge at the HackSummit this Friday in Lausanne. Our co-founder and CTO, Cameron Dowd will be presenting our technology for scaling and monitoring coastal ecosystems to the expert Jury and Summit audience. Happy World Environment Day everyone! And to celebrate, our new website 😀 Good news, our new website is up! - https://www.inverto.earth/ In some circles it can feel like everyone is prioritising the environment, but days like today are a good time to remember that it's not always the case. While governments and companies have made massive strides in the last 50 years thanks to growing social awareness and action, and we've managed to effectively solve some issues like CFCs and the hole in the ozone layer, the state of nature is worse today than it ever has been. Success stories for species recovery are few and far between, in an ocean of sad news of extinctions, expanding environmental degradation, and changing climate. These impacts are visible and changing our lives, and we all need to consider the environment more in our decisions. And not just "us", our audience, but your friends, family, local politicians, colleagues. Get the message outside of the bubble.
