Last week, we had the privilege of cohosting a dinner led by our Head of SMB Accounts Trenten Sayles with a respected Alexi customer John F. Schutz in West Palm Beach, FL. The gathering was attended by family law attorneys, a field where Alexi's AI-powered platform proves to be extremely beneficial. John, a highly respected figure in the community, shared his positive experiences with Alexi, emphasizing how smaller law firms, which often lack the resources for extensive legal research, can greatly benefit from our tool. It was a pleasure to see how much value Alexi can bring to the family law community in Florida. We look forward to many more events in the future!

🌟 Transforming Legal Services with Tech & AI at SpringLaw 🌟 We continue to use tech at SpringLaw to optimize and deliver efficient and practical legal services focused on the client. We've been virtual, paperless and in the cloud since we opened in 2017, letting us collaborate both internally and with our wide range of clients. AI has only amped up the opportunities to transform traditional legal services even further. We've been early adopters of legal research tools like BlueJ Legal and Alexi, sharing screens with clients on video calls to work through legal solutions together in real-time. But GenAI is something new. It is more than a tool to gather info - it's a method to generate content across the board. Our team walked through ways to further integrate AI into our day to day practice last week at our quarterly in-person MeetUp. While it's ALWAYS just a first draft to review, edit, scrutinize and improve, it's no doubt the game changer of our generation. It's more than another tool to do the same work the same way we've done for years. Rather, it's a NEW way to do things, to curate and produce content, to work collaboratively with a machine. It's part of my daily workflow now. And in the same way a day without my keyboard and mouse would be weird, I can't imagine a future of the workplace without GenAI. Are there security, ethical, IP and accuracy risks? Yes of course. We're working through all the many early issues of any tech, and especially such transformative tech that changes how we gather, process and create information. But the ship has sailed on WHETHER we should use GenAI. The layers of efficiency and in many cases, incomparably more comprehensive and accurate outcomes require widespread adoption for better client service and legal solutions. We're in the early, exciting days of this transformative journey. So many more issues to sort out over the coming weeks, months and years. #LegalInnovation #AIinLaw #ClientService #LegalTech

Alexi is increasingly a legitimate alternative to incumbent legal research providers & traditional product ideologies. Our relative weaknesses include access to additional content (primary & secondary) and primary law meta-data (e.g. shepardizing). Both are easily solvable in the next 3-6 months. Plus, editorialized content gets stale very fast, as every large company is beginning to acknowledge, and it’s value is plummeting. Software and intelligence is and will continue to be the ultimate differentiating factor, and it’s where Alexi has a very clear advantage.
Legal Tech Review: Alexi *I was provided a subscription to this service for free* Doing a new series where I review legal tech products and provide my thoughts. First up is Alexi, a AI tool that generates legal memos and assists with identifying legal issues/arguments. On the legal memo side of the product, it was pretty user friendly. There is a prompt box that allows you to input a legal question. From there, you select your jurisdiction (state/federal). The AI tool will then reformat question to be a bit cleaner or what it thinks your actually asking and then it produces a legal memo on that issue. The memo is automatically sent to your email. On the arguments side of the product, equally as user friendly. Utilizing a similar question prompt system, you input your goals (think, defeating a motion to dismiss or lodging an argument to defend a demand). The product will then "brainstorm" and help you achieved the described goal. Pros: So, so, easy to use. Takes maybe 5 minutes total from question to legal memo. Cases that were provided to me were real in the memos that I have utilized (which is a crazy that I have to say is a pro lol). Memos are easy to understand and substance good enough bones to build upon in a motion or letter. Also, having them immediately sent to my email was great and allowed me to quickly disseminate the information to my team. The argument feature is cool and could be a helpful tool to bring arguments you didn't think about to the table. Cons: If you're actively litigating, you're likely still going to need a legal research tool. For me personally, I need the ability to search through individual cases and to sherardize those cases. At this time, I use the memo to help me further research into an issue, which does save me time. If you're not litigating (especially if you're in-house), it is likely good enough (especially if budget is a concern). The arguments function is really cool, but will likely need to further develop over time. Mostly surface level arguments. That said, it's more of a brainstorming tool so that's probably the point of the product.
