The European Commission has recently approved new state aid measures under EU State aid rules: 🔹 €122 million Lithuanian measure to support AB Achema in decarbonising its fertiliser production processes 🔹 €400 million Italian scheme to invest in the decarbonisation of industrial production processes 🔹 €200 million Finnish scheme to support the production of renewable fuels of non-biological origin and the deployment of energy storage 🔹 €142 million Bulgarian scheme to support the energy sector by alleviating part of the costs for companies that stored natural gas at the Chiren underground gas facility These measures will contribute to the achievement of the EU Hydrogen Strategy, the European Green Deal and the Green Deal Industrial Plan targets of climate neutrality, while helping to end dependence on Russian fossil fuels. ➡ Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dQRvwqX7

Malta Inc has announced the groundbreaking of the expansion of DLR’s world-leading test facility for thermal energy storage in molten salts (TESIS) as part of their Store2REPower project! 🔋In collaboration with Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt - DLR, Alfa Laval, and Siemens Energy, Malta’s innovative pumped-thermal energy storage (PTES) technology offers a sustainable alternative to fossil-fueled power plants, providing 100-MW and more of clean power.
