Troy Zakari Walker is a highly accomplished entrepreneur, distinguished life coach, and esteemed consultant specializing in leadership and program development. With extensive experience spanning over a decade, Troy has collaborated with diverse organizations, effectively leveraging his expertise. In 2018, he embarked on a remarkable endeavor by founding the nonprofit organization Impact Nation Community Services, which is dedicated to addressing the unique requirements of Southern Nevada through a comprehensive range of direct and indirect services.

  • Promoting economic growth is of utmost importance to me. I am dedicated to nurturing an environment that not only appeals to businesses but also generates employment and enriches the prospects of every individual in Nevada. Given the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, we must prioritize job creation, extend our support to small businesses, and work towards revitalizing the economy.
  • I strongly support advancing education and workforce development. It is crucial to advocate for increased funding for public schools and improved teacher salaries to provide better educational opportunities for students from all walks of life.
  • I am dedicated to preserving the general public's health. My utmost priority is ensuring the welfare of every individual in Nevada by promoting healthcare options that are both affordable and easily accessible. This includes actively pursuing comprehensive healthcare reforms that tackle the escalating expenses of prescription medications, extending Medicaid coverage, enhancing mental health services, and focusing on rural regions.

I am deeply passionate about public policy, including Economic, Social, Education, Health, and Criminal justice. These domains have captured my interest due to their significant impact on society and the potential for positive change.

The legacy that I would like to leave as an elected official is that, due to my unwavering accountability to the people I served, I prioritized ensuring that my constituents' voices were heard. This was achieved through my commitment to transparency in all my actions.

How old were you at the time? One of the most significant events that has stayed with me throughout my life is September 11th, which occurred when I was just 10.

The filibuster is counterproductive as it can potentially obstruct the passage of crucial legislation, thereby preventing bills from attaining a final vote and becoming law. This, in turn, discourages senators from seeking bipartisan cooperation and engaging in meaningful negotiations, as they are aware of the filibuster's ability to impede the progress of the legislation they endorse.

Why was the baseball team so hot? They didn't have any fans!

I strive to establish connections grounded in mutual respect, cooperation, and a collective commitment to serving the public's best interests. By directing our attention towards shared values and objectives, we can identify commonalities and foster relationships that result in impactful legislative achievements.

Indeed, compromise plays a pivotal role in policymaking within our democratic society. It catalyzes fostering fair and inclusive decision-making processes, ultimately culminating in formulating policies that are both efficacious and enduring.
