Sam Brown (Nevada)
Sam Brown (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Nevada. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Republican primary on June 11, 2024.
Biography
Brown earned a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and later a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Brown served in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, in 2008, where he was wounded by an IED explosion. He received a purple heart and was medically retired from the Army as a captain in 2011. After retiring from the army, Brown and his wife started a small business providing critical services to veterans.[1]

2014
Elections for all 150 seats in the Texas House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 4, 2014. Those candidates who did not receive 50 percent or more of the vote in their party primary on March 4 faced an additional May 27 primary runoff. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in these elections was December 9, 2013. Incumbent Stefani Carter and Linda Koop defeated Adryana Boyne and Sam Brown in the Republican primary. Koop defeated Carter in the May 27 Republican runoff. George M. Clayton was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Koop defeated Clayton in the general election.[2][3][4]
