Tony Grady was born December 5, 1955, in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He graduated from the International School of Bangkok, Thailand in 1973. After graduation he was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado, graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronautical Engineering.

Commissioned through the United States Air Force Academy, Tony attended pilot training at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona, in June 1977. He served as Air Force pilot for twenty years culminating with commanding the B-2 Stealth Bomber test squadron. Tony Grady is an experienced test pilot with over 5,000 flying hours, in 40 different aircraft.

After the Air Force, Tony flew for FedEx for the next twenty years. He retired as a MD-11 Captain.

Tony served for two years as the Director of Flight Operations for the National Championship Air Races, held in Reno, Nevada, USA.

Aside from his passion for aviation, Tony was also an entrepreneur in emerging technologies and was the founder of a start-up biotechnology firm.

Tony and his wife of thirty-eight years have four children and they live in Reno, Nevada.

  • I am a proven leader who has served our country for over twenty years. The United States Air Force Academy and commanding the B-2 Stealth Bomber Program taught me proper leadership, budgeting, and breaking down complex situations.
  • I am a firm believer of our Constitution and the rights that it gives to the American people.
  • I am a strong advocate for education and school choice as a means to promote economic diversification. As a state that is ranked in the lowest nation-wide, we must improve our schools so that talent can grow and stay here.
