Our Perspectives were Broadened. Thank you so much to everyone who attended the inaugural MBA Insight Circle: Where Ideas Thrive Event. Our topic of Exploring Perspectives: Broadening Our Understanding, really hit the spot with our MBA community and industry audience. My amazing co-creator (Aida Ab (Shiraz)) and I were blown away by the depth of engagement, the thought-provoking discussions taking place and the unique insigths shared throughout the evening. Recently I was awarded the Eka Suputra Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia/New Zealand Scholarship 2024. As the recipient of this legacy, freely donated by Eka's family in his memory, to support the career journey of a female Business School Student, I was able to purchase my textbooks and will be able to attend my postgraduate Master of Business Administration Griffith University graduation. An internship opportunity is also part of the scholarship, which I am honoured to accept. This has been awarded to me through a competitive process and is a reminder for all women to be brave and keep speaking up to make your voice heard. I encourage all female students to apply for this prestigious recognition and please reach out to me for advice or questions you may have about the process. Thanks so much to Griffith University MBA academics who teach the World's No.1 sustainability MBA, my student colleagues and coach Daniel Capper who has been with me all the way. Expressing my gratitude and thanks for this wonderful opportunity. #EkaSuputraIMLScholarship #ekasuputra #InstituteManagersandLeaders #iml #GriffithUniversity #GriffithUni #GriffithMBA #danielcapper

Ready for some Professional Development? Fostering Culturally Diverse Leadership in Organisations. (Webinar) With Autumn upon us, and the temperatures beginning to drop, rather than snuggle under a blanket to watch some Netflix, watch an upcoming webinar (Thursday 9 May, 18.00–19.30) on Fostering Culturally Diverse Leadership in Organisations – Hearing from successful cases of Asian-Australian leaders. (You still get to snuggle under a blanket in front of your computer, but with a bonus of absorbing some great professional development.) Seminar Overview As the war for talent intensifies and stakeholders prioritise environmental, social and governance (ESG), Australian organisations’ boards and senior management must take action to manage them. Additionally, with about 30% of Australia’s population being foreign-born, leaders need to focus more on improving the cultural diversity of their workplaces. However, effectively managing cultural diversity, especially in leadership roles, can be challenging. Learn more from the author of the book, 'Fostering Culturally Diverse Leadership in Organisations', Karen Loon, as she shares her lived experiences and the personal stories of Asian-Australian leaders, outlines how group dynamics in organisations can inhibit greater diversity, and delivers roadmaps for fostering more diverse and inclusive organisations. Registration Details are in the attached document which has a full speaker bio. The event comes highly recommended from a GBS colleague who I've been assisting connect Sudy Tours of MBA Students from Hong Kong to Brisbane Business. #GriffithMBA Regards Daniel
