Just one month after Kalimat Group entered an agreement with Majid Al Futtaim and National Paints Group to launch a #reading initiative for #children across #Sharjah and #Dubai, the first kiosk is ready! Inaugurating and visiting the site at the City Centre Al Zahia mall, I can say not only does it look fantastic, with space for the Kalimat Foundation as well, but in this unmissable central position it can’t fail to attract lots of young people this summer. In the coming days, we’ll roll out more of these kiosks at other malls, where we’ll host #book signings, #educational workshops, and competitions, all with the aim of firing up children’s love of reading. I want to say a big thank you to our #partners, whose commitment to this great initiative has ensure it got off the ground so quickly, including Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Majid Al Futtaim UAE Shopping Malls Managing Director, Abdulla Alblooshi, Senior Mall Manager – City Centre Al Zahia, Mohamed Al Jasmi, Senior Mall Manager - City Centre Mirdif, and Huda Al Mazmi, Senior Mall Manager - City Centre Deira, who all joined me for this inauguration.

We are pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding with Reggio Children, Italy, to strengthen our partnership in enhancing education and published works. This milestone collaboration, following six years of successful cooperation, aims to organize events, publish Reggio Children materials, and innovate educational practices, benefiting children in both regions and beyond. After six years of collaborating in multiple ways, Kalimat Group and Reggio Children have signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance #educational initiatives for the benefit of young #children in the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. This important step will see #Kalimat Group organizing #seminars, #exhibitions, and #ateliers in unison with the educational centre in Reggio Emilia, Italy. We’ll also #translate, #publish, and #distribute at least five Reggio Children publications, with their guidance. The MoU is the formal expression of a shared commitment to excellence in #education, cross-cultural #partnerships, and #publishing #innovation, and by working together, we can empower more children and #educators to realize their full potential. All of us in the Kalimat Group family are thrilled about this new chapter with Reggio Children and we feel personally invested in the positive outcomes it promises for #education.

It’s going to be an exciting summer in UAE for young bookworms as Kalimat Group, Majid Al Futtaim and National Paints Group roll out book-themed events and activities to spark young imaginations and expand their minds.

I’ve always believed nurturing #children’s minds with #books is vital for fostering #enlightenment and #empathy, because kids who #read become adults with a deeper understanding of #humanity and the #world. That’s why Kalimat Group is partnering with Majid Al Futtaim and National Paints to launch a summer #reading initiative for children and young adults across #Sharjah and #Dubai. This summer, City Centre Al Zahia and City Centre Mirdif will feature engaging activities, such as book signings, #educational workshops, and competitions, designed to fuel love of reading and expand children’s minds. I’m very proud of this initiative, and I’m grateful to Fuad Mansoor Sharaf and Samer Salim Al Sayegh, respectively MDs of Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls and National Paints Group, for helping us realise it. 📚✨
