Tom Lazenkas Vaughan Civic Hero Award
Vaughan resident Tom Lazenkas was recognized with the Ward 2 Civic Hero Award for maintaining a highly successful business presence in the heart of Woodbridge for the past 40 years.

Ward 2 Councillor Tony Carella nominated Mr. Lazenkas for the award.
"Mr. Lazenkas and a partner took over the barbershop in 1969, which originally opened in 1935," said Councillor Carella. "A number of businesses pre-dated Mr. Lazenkas' arrival in Woodbridge; however, none of them can compete with his track record in terms of local service."
